The Espanyol captain Dani Jarque has died this afternoon due to a heart attack, according to Spanish & Catalan media.

Maybe the bar has been raised so high now, with stress, pressure and fitness levels, that any small weakness or minor imperfection in the heart becomes a major risk. You do wonder why it isn't as prevalent in other sports though.
