Virgil has signed...

Salah has signed...

over to you, Trent Alexander Arnold..

Future Captain of Liverpool
Let's see ya commit to your club.
Real are brutal anyway.

Tell you what, if he did re-sign, it’s going to interesting to see the reactions of the people that have been piling the hate on him.

I expect Ancelotti to be sacked in the summer, particularly since all Real can win now is the Copa del Rey and Barca are going for a treble. Definitely toast if Atletico also beat them to 2nd.

It’s not the ideal time to be going there and who knows, maybe winning a league title and seeing the celebrations might actually stir something in him to stay.

Curious if there's anything to the Klopp rumours. As expected, Leverkusen has regressed a bit to the mean this season, so Xabi may no longer be flavour of the week.

What’s the Klopp rumours?

Has he been linked to Real?

Can you imagine the gnashing of teeth if he went there and Trent signed on a free - that would be enough to send some (even further) over the edge!!!

I wouldn't be arsed if klopp went to real. Be a bit out of character, and I doubt red bull would let him go afterr 12 months, but I wouldn't begrudge him it. It'd just feel weird.

As for if Trent ended up staying, I'd treat him like I treated Gerrard; happy he stayed, but nowhere near as much love for him. He'd be fine, but always a rung or 2 below others.

He’s leaving after the el cola final

My favourite ITK story I've ever heard

Have doubts whether Madrid truly want him, especially now Carlo is off who is clearly the driving factor behind this.

Get him signed up and then flog him off in Jan. Fed up having to watch other players tidy his mess like he’s in pre-school.

Hes not staying. If he is though, It explains the lack of consistent links to right backs

I think the manager there doesn’t necessarily get much of a say in who they do or do not sign - they’ll be given top quality players and expected to deliver trophies - end of.

They’ll have some sort of say, but the idea would surely be the opposite of what Utd do, ie it’s not about the whims of a manager.

That saying, I do agree that Carlo leaving might not make life easy for Trent.

In all honesty, he’d be fucking stupid to leave us now and go there - if he can’t see it, then that’s down to whatever bubble he’s living in and we’re probably better off without him.

I say that as someone who has defended him and would actually quite like it if he stayed.

Depends on his view. Next season is a transition for us and also a transition for Madrid. Depends on who he believes in the more.

Also ones in Spain.

Great attacker but abysmal defender. His tracking back at times is embarrassing and he thinks he's better than what he actually is. Didn't like when he copied gerrard kissing the camera either. Only reason i'm pissed he's leaving is because we get no fee. If we had got a fee i wouldn't have given a shit.

Hang on ... wasn't this season our transition season? So confusing, it keeps getting pushed back.

our team is so off balance if him and salah are playing - because both need to be covered for ... both are prioritized for their awesome talents but it requires constant coverage from the midfield and primarily Ibou (or RCB).

if he stays, we need to hope he can learn how to defend better.

I think it becomes clear there will be a big (or big by our standards) summer and indeed that's either a transition or simply that we continue to surpass expectations

People expected this season to be due to managerial change and transfers. Transfers didn't happen and slot excelled but we're still in transition as we're learning his tactics.

We're changing potentially 3 (if not 4) of our starters. So I think next season will be just as transitional as this season, but for different reasons.

Thought we were all on the same page regarding that?

It’s objectively better for the club to keep hold of Trent, but this isn’t something I’m in the mood to be rational about. He has spent the whole season playing games, sulking on the bench, green lighting a bid from Madrid, and at times looking like he was bordering on throwing the game against United.

I’m not just okay with him going. I’m actually excited. I’m looking forward to seeing Bradley develop and to finding out what Slot has planned for the position with a fresh signing. I genuinely believe there is scope for a net improvement in the team if we get our recruitment right and Bradley keeps progressing.

There is no version of events Trent could offer that I would find convincing or that would change my view of him. His ego has been through the roof. He sees himself as a brand now, and it is the same sort of nonsense that led Ferguson to launch Beckham out of a cannon straight at Madrid. Put the transfer fee aside, the same principle applies.

A bit out of character?

The same Klopp who for years slagged off Leipzig and the Red Bull operations then joins them?

He's deffo joining Madrid. I can see it for sure.
