I generally avoid all the analysis these days, so I’m not exposed to it much. However, Redknapp has enjoyed a remarkably fortunate media career, while Warnock has always come across as a rather miserable, bitter toad. He was lucky to reach the level he did, and yet he seems to carry a constant grudge—especially towards Benítez, though he’s certainly not alone in that.

Hamann has had some hot takes over the years but nothing to lose any sleep over. Nichol is meant to act the cunt on US TV all the time, which I expect many find grating.

If I had to pick one, it's Owen for all the obvious reasons.

For me this far more of a worry than incomings...
To let all 3 run their contracts down would be mind bogglingly stupid, we are talking about £250m of assets there. Any one know what the latest is? We can't blame Klopp for over loyalty now, if all 3 leave on afree whats the logic behind it? Where is the financial sense?

Rarely met any in person for more than a selfie - I spent the weekend with Grobbelaar once for a tournament, I was running - great experience. Mark Walters too.

Fowler, Rush, Molby, McMoneyman, all pleasant enough in person.

Peter Moore once told me a fan had asked for his autograph and as he was about to sign the guys said "Cheers Bruce, I heard you don't usually give autographs" and then Peter had to guess how to spell. "Grobbelaar" rather than disappoint the bloke.
They do look alike to be fair.

Been lucky enough to meet a few legends down the years and was rarely let down.

My childhood hero, Ronnie Whelan was a fucking legend, all three times I've met him... Genuine, friendly and full of craic and stories.

I've also had a pint and / or a chat with Stan Staunton, Brucie, Super Sub, Jim Beglin, Cally, the Saint and Jimmy Melia down the years (and i think I'm forgetting a couple), and all were very decent blokes.

The only one I didn't like was Ray Clemence... He was a bit cringe and creepy with a few of the ladies in the room, both during and after the event. Maybe I just caught him on a bad day, but I very disappointed.

As regards to ex-players that I can't stand, you've all covered most of my biggies already, but I'll also add Jason McAteer and Robbie Keane, who I found to be utter wankers when I met them.

There's also a few ex-players that I hated before they got to us, and I still (sports) despise them, like Paul Ince, Michael Thomas, Julian Dicks, etc...

My Dad used to work for Crawfords Biscuits and was based in a place called Sandown Hall in Wevertree (it's a housing estate now). They had a social club downstairs and Dad was in the architect's office upstairs. The Liverpool team of the late 70s / early 80s used to be there quite a lot to play snooker. I think it was somewhere they could go that was fairly private and they wouldn't get hassled by the general public.
He said they were mostly alright but Clemence was a bit of a div - he was always messing about (usually behind the bar) when the rest of them were more normal.

Lawrenson was the first one, trying so hard to be unbiased that he ended up calling everything against us. He started getting booed at Anfield because of it and ended up not going to home games any more. Now he's just irrelevant and rather sad, a has-been even in the media world.

McMoneyman next, and top of my list. Had Uncle Roy under his thumb psychologically (even kept parking his car in Uncle Roy's space), created the Spice Boys and then had the cheek to take offence when the board refused to back Uncle Roy's unauthorised offer of a new contract and tried to sell him instead, so diddled the club out of a fee from Madrid. Dominated Fowler in a very similar way and was often to be seen in the background enjoying the spectacle while Fowler was getting into scrapes, even on England duty. He's obviously been welcomed back into the LFC fold and a number of us seem to have met and got on well with him, but there's a lot of unpleasant history there. A smiling snake.

He was grumpy, but still likeable. He showed up for an event I did in Iceland. With three days notice, as the lad running it dropped the ball on the celeb portion, and he was a fill in. So I ended up on a Saturday night in Reykjavik, walking around pubs with himself, and a friend. People would stop in their tracks in disbelief as we entered pubs and clubs. Great fun, looking back.

A year prior, I got to play against Rushy, Molby, Walters, and a few others, and we lost 3-1 in a five a side. But I scored the goal... still have the video it on repeat - pinnacle of my career 🤣
