It's absolutely insane how there's been so many bad decisions this weekend. It's like VAR has deskilled them to the point of redundancy.
i was going to say this in the match thread, i’m glad there’s still some opportunity for the officials to practice without var to keep them sharp but yea maybe this is the inevitable outcome of var assistance
Great result and some beautiful play.
Great to have Salah picking up form. Some of his play was exceptional while he still lost the ball and ran into players too often. He’s really starting to link up well with Wirtz. Outrageous vision, touch and weight of pass for the second goal. The run for the penalty and many others were excellent and the penalty was a rocket. Hopefully he continues this for the next 20 games and we lift silverware.
Kerkez was excellent, really seems to be growing into role of left back for a club the size of Liverpool. Outstanding cross for the goal but just overall great play around the ground.
Dom with a great run and even better finish for his goal and he also put in a great defensive shift.
Delighted for Jones to get his first of the season.
Rio unlucky as that was a beautiful finish and he looked bright.
Wirtz sadly had a poor game in the edges for the most part.
Virgil I thought was better than Konate and his positioning was outstanding.
Ali with a few good stops and dicey moments. Surprised he started on such a cold night with a dodgy hammy.
Great Chiesa got good minutes and Ramsay appeared with Ny.
Back to back clean sheets.

Good performance tonight. Not great. I still think there's too much slow faffing at the back. We're at our best when we're direct, quick and aggressive.
Should Rio's goal have stood? He looked off to me to be fair and I was sort of in line with it. Thought Gakpo held onto it for too long.
