Family members going Q

Odd place to ask but has anyone had experience with family members unexpectedly developing more than a passing interest for conspiracy theories and right wing politics? Specifically socio-political views that have taken hold in parts of the US, such as libertarianism, QAnon, etc.

Missus had expressed some misgivings at the speed of the COVID vaccines, but I had not pegged her as a vaccine skeptic. She had expertise in pharmacology and the production of medical devices so I went along with it.

Lately though, I've noticed an uptick in video recommendations to the likes of Ben Shapiro, old Tucker Carlson fox videos, etc.

The last straw for me was when she suggested that the grandchildren eventually be exposed to the Tuttle Twins books and shows, whose author purports to encourage critical thinking and "shield the kids" from anti-family, anti-freedom, socialism, marxism, media lies and collectivism. Admittedly, I have not engaged with the material meaningfully (I tried but just couldn't sit through American right wing literature)

Has anyone had success coaxing their loved ones back from the edge of this particular abyss? Grateful for suggestions on how to communicate this issue with the missus.
