Why did you have to leave us Fernando.

I proper loved him.

Remember his five fingers to the mancs? That goal against Blackburn, the debut goal against Chelsea....

Torres and Suarez would have been fucking sweet.
Its such a shame.

I remember someone on here saying they felt he was making a snap decision and that they thought he would very quickly regret it.
I wonder if he does? He was genuinely and affectionately loved here.
He will never feel that again.
I really miss him.

Seeing him smile and hug Lucas and Agger at the whistle just made me want him to come home. He shouldnt be at Chelsea he should be playing beside Suarez.

I've a Spain top with his name on the back I bought while in Nerja last year. I haven't worn it since January but I can't bring myself to giving it to someone....

You're not alone Her, you really aren't alone.

I honestly believe we'd be right up there now if he didn't leave.

a brilliant striker when he was with us and good as he was he worked his arse off chasing down lost causes and helping his team mates. what the hell happened to 'that' guy?

I'm turning my back and ignoring this thread just as Torres did to us.

*Huffs*
*Turns round and folds arms*

*Shouts over shoulder*

Tell neil I said that guy went missing up his own arse and sense of self importance not realising it was everything around him that contributed to him being the world class player he was.

Its only a matter of time you will wish you never did walk out, and regret that kneejerk decision. I'll bet you dont make as many brilliant posts in other threads as you could have if you'd stayed here

That's not a very saintly thing to say. Although sometimes I agree, other times not. Especially when I think of how he used to play, his goal against Blackburn was amazing, you remember the volley he scored.
Edit: it wasn't quite a volley, anyway you probably know the one i'm talking about.

People don't change that much that quickly, and right from the word "go" he looked like a man thinking "WTF have I done?". I suspect a combination of Chav tapping-up and agents messing with his head.

Is he saying "I f*cking love you"?

It started off so well with the arm band, all the goals and the way he always spoke so well about us and our club. He was well on his way to becoming a LFC legend, but then the going got tough and his true nature/feelings came to surface.

I continue to hope that he never scores again.

ha ha

I've heard a few people mention how they feel he regrets the move and would probably still like to be here . I'm not so sure though , he just cares about himself and if he was scoring there he'd be full of how he knew it was a move he had to make . Just watch if he starts scoring .

It might be just rumours but supposedly his antics in the last few days drove Kenny to give him a proper dressing down . So he really wanted out and couldn't wait any longer , he knew what he had here and chose to give it up for a 'better' chance at success .
If he regrets anything it's probably that he's not at city or barca .

Looks like 'fuck you too'.

His performances in red made me happy. His performances in blue continue to make me happy. I wouldn't change a thing because, well, I'm happy. As for Torres? Fuck him, I got what I wanted.

Love him back. I don't care, I really don't. He fucked up.

We've all fucked up & done things we regret, should he come back in jan & score shitloads bringing us the league title in the process Im sure a few others will forgive him too.

Suarez & Torres would be mouthwatering.

However, i doubt it'll happen. Chelsea won't want to strengthen us as we're there or thereabouts with them. Kenny won't forgive him. The club won't want the PR nightmare that is bringing him back whilst Carroll is struggling.

[/quote]This sums it up nicely I think.
Torres had one decent game last season, ironically (or not) against the team he wanted to transfer to.
He was clearly sulking for the last little while with us and now that thinks aren't going his way he appears to be sulking again.
I doubt if he is really really pines for us as he seems to have turned into a self obsessed git.

All that said, and I am cold hearted now, I would take him back on a loan deal with an option to buy for no more than £20m.
He might come back to us in the belief that he would rediscover his mojo and if he did then that would be good for us.
As long as he gave 100% every game I would have no complaints though he need not expect any loving from this quarter.

and all it took was two seasons out of the champions league.
torres doesn't exactly have the patience of job.

I loved him. Like really loved him.

Have to say, though, Ross (I think) called it a while back, saying everything he had said about us was a PR exercise by his own PR team.

I'd love to know what happened those last few days. I think some of the mods know, but vowed never to say what happened.

"maricón"
Derogatory term; crude word for a gay man used by straight men and women to insult gay men or to question the masculinity of straight men.

I remember MarkMc being livid at the time. Like someone said a while back, it's not that they would begrudge him coming back in the fashion that he did, but he's became a laughing stock for the past year and even in his final year with us as The Count said he only really started to perform in January when his motives were found out. He wouldn't come cheap anyway, so the money would be better spent elsewhere.
