First pre season game: Preston (A)

It's pleasing we've carried on our tradition of putting our smallest, weakest players against their strongest, tallest players at corners. What's life without a bit of jeopardy.

Its zonal witb our little guys marking runners in. Was it Nallos zone?

Nunez has done well today. Against weak competition, but hopefully a confidence builder for him.

Even if it only means that he is easier to sell.

So, a review

Both young tiny wingers did well. I like them both
Kerkez is going to be some fucking player for us.
Frimpong was much quieter, but didn't do anything wrong.
Chiesa was meh. Nunez put away the only chance he had. Gakpo tried his hardest.

Frimpong going backwards and winning the ball made me smile.

I’ve enjoyed the game. Some good stuff.
Agreed. First half was much better with everyone looking at least okay.

Second half, Kerkez and Woodman looked promising; Nunez encouraging; Endo solid. Thought Frim and Doak (bar his assist) were disappointing on the right and koumas non-existent. Robbo and Nallo not good, but not unexpected.
