Ive noticed recently how many times Dirk gets goals from following the ball after its been struck at goal.
Thats top notch striking and i hope the kids watch that.
Check it out, theres loads of them.

Most os Maxi's were like that too I think

they are av you're right. I love that kind of instinct.

It's simple stuff though. Owen used to say he was taught from an early age to always follow in on a shot.

Juventus 🙁

OMG yeah!

That lob v Norwich was beautiful

The follow up is essential, Utd's players always do it, Fowler made an art out of it.

Garcia may have been beautiful, but most Liverpool fans, esp' a few on here, few hi, with red-tinted glasses, wayyyyy too much.

The one against Anderlecht(I think) is one of the best headed goals I've ever seen.

Well, I loved the wee man, but he was infuriating at times, & his tag of 'spanish Danny Murphy' wasn't exactly unwarranted, although it was a compliment as much as insult!

Ryan will be on here later!

I loved the wee man, I brushed his infuriating moments under the carpet and lived with it for those moments of sheer brilliance.

Exactly, which was what everyone did with Danny Murphy, only cos he was continental, his negatives were remembered much more than his positives.

That's him in a nutshell.

Thing is, he ws phenomenall just for the *thought* that something could happen the moment he got the ball.

I'd forgot that people used to compare them, probably because Luis effectively replaced Spud. They both used to fuck up a fair bit but they would do so trying to generate some invention in an otherwise dull game. Fair play, I like players like that. I'd rather see them fuck up trying than being too conservative, ala Lucas.

Everyone loves Luis Garcia because he's dead. He wasn't nearly as well thought of when he was alive

Got to agree with Foxy and Krumpy. There were many times where I wandered if Louis's positives outweighed his negatives (and there were plenty of both).
