(Frim)job done! :)

Did not know Farage supported Liverpool!
Stop being a fucking naysayer. We won the fucking league, give the man some credit. He needs signings and that fucking Hughes has had a whole season to draw up a list of additions that will improve the squad. Frimpong will get us goals and Slot needs to work out how we deal with the opposition overloading or right and targeting Frimpong.

Retaining the league is hard and as long as we are challenging next season, the guy will have my backing
Nothing racist here, but if those Dutch lads have a falling out amongst each other we are fucked, and then there is overall team harmony, they better mix and shag some of their other team mates and not be talking Dutchy all the time.

Also I do not doubt Frimpong talent as a footballer just wish he was not Dutch player.

He can't speak dutch, can he?

We have 2 ducth players and Frimpong may play for the national squad but is born and raised in England. Parents live in England (I could be wrong).
When Sadio was here, him and Salah would fall out regularly

I wasn’t aware that Amsterdam was in England!!!

In what world is the Sadio & Salah connection (or lack of) relevant to this discussion?

Frimpong is another devout Christian isn’t he - so he’ll fit in well with Grzvy, Gakpo & Alisson.

Sales of “I belong to Jesus” shirts will get going through the roof.
I'll tolerate this, however I want a 9 that thinks they are Jesus.

We have three.

I swear I saw somewhere he said he was born near manchester, you are right transfermkt says he was born in Amsterdam. Even so, he knows England way more than the Netherlands

If he comes in as starting RB I would imagine Gravy becomes even deeper to fill that gap with Ibu, allowing Frim to hold the width and then Salah to drift in more.

Would be exciting to have the options of both Bradders & Frim, two direct and attack minded RBs. Less hollywood balls, but more running at the opposition.
I am all for less Hollywood balls. The percentages seem to have gotten worse and worse in recent years, although the ones that work were used to justify him. So many of those balls gave the ball away in bad positions and lessened our control of the game. I would much rather Bradders and Frim lose the ball while bombing down the wing, than Trent turning it over to a midfielder or CB to play out on the counter.

What… one that fucking hates crosses, spends too much time in the wilderness, spends most of the season dead only being resurrected at Easter and who’s favoured mode of transport is riding around on Darwin Nunez back?

Alright, God then. Jesus was self effacing.

I want a Cthulhu really, but I'll take an antichrist.

Am I reading this right..? Somewhere up there, somebody says "I wish he wasn't Dutch... he might fall out with the other Dutch lads".

Jesus Christ Almighty. I think I prefer this place when we're not champions - At least then, we don't have to invent things to moan about.

NOt somebody, our moron.

For sure.

Hope he turns out to be as good as the last Dutch player we signed that used to play for Celtic.

I think it’s good - pacy attacking FB - him and Bradley can fight it out over who starts more often - and the fee is pretty good, all things considered.

If we do some smart business with Bournemouth, leveraging Kelleher for Kerkez (Huijsen is release clause, so whoever pays it gets to speak to him), then we’re off to a good start.

£10-£15m + Kelleher for Kerkez is a good deal for both sides.

There isn’t much difference in cost of signing Frimpong for £35m & paying him £120k a week on a 5yr deal than paying Trent £250k a week on a 5 year deal.

Spend big on that number 9 then we can see what’s left in the kitty for more.

Fantastic player! In my opinion one of the best full backs you can find in europe. Unreal pace, always reliable, but his finishing is terrible… I hope he will stay in Leverkusen, but I think if Liverpool try to sign him in the summer he will leave us.

if you thought trent was a bad defender wait til you see jeremie.

i love him, and this isn’t a slight against him, he’s just a similar player to gabriel martinelli. lots of pace and tracks back, but isn’t a main/full time defender

Great player, extreme speed and great technique

Not great at defending and horrendous at finishing though

If you don't play with three center backs, you won't have a good time. He needs to play the whole sideline.

In my opinion, he's practically irreplaceable, at least if we stick with the three-man defense with wingbacks. So I suspect the new coach will implement a new system here as well.

Thanks for the great time – an undisputed club legend who absolutely deserves the move to a world-class club.

Frimpong reminds me of Diaby at times. Incredibly chaotic, but with a lot of goalscoring. Often infuriating, yet so important to the team, although I would rate Frimpong's value somewhat higher than Diaby's.

It's a transfer that brings with it very mixed feelings. I believe he's particularly valuable for the team atmosphere, and football-wise, he's mostly delivered and scored consistently. It's a position where there's a lot of potential for improvement, but the potential for deterioration is enormous.

The wing duo of Frimpong and Grimaldo, with their class in terms of speed and technique, was, in my opinion, outstanding and one of the key reasons for their success.

It's truly disappointing that Frimpong will definitely leave, and Grimaldo will more or less be allowed to leave too if he receives an offer from Spain. He's at an age where he no longer has the time to wait.

As for Frimpong, I’ve always liked the idea of him particularly the adaptability he brings. I think we do need a dynamic player to replace Trent, and while we’re undoubtedly losing a huge creative presence, Frimpong’s speed and directness could help to offset that. He also offers genuine width down the right flank, which has been lacking for quite some time. That said, I haven’t seen enough of him to know how it will work in practice, or how much coaching he’ll need to deliver what we require from that role. But what we can say is: a) it’s an exciting signing, and b) on paper, it ticks a lot of boxes. He’s well-priced, at a good age, has homegrown status, isn't a dickhead, Dutch links, and is a big admirer of the club. Hopefully, it all translates from paper to pitch.

I think many will he surprised at just quite how rapid he is. If he's not the fastest player in the league then he'll be a very close second.

All the speed in the world will mean fuck all if his defending is worse than trent. I'm sick and tired of us being targeted because our fullback can't defend for shit.
