(Frim)job done! :)

I’m also chucking in Toblerone…. Cause no-one else has.

Fucking delicious.
On a taste basis, yes for sure.

But they fucking rip you off for it something chronic...

Aldi do a half decent knock-off, but don't seem to have it all the time

The Aldi knock offs used to be banging. Now they’re three times more expensive and 33% smaller.

A nice big slab of Cadbury's Dairy Milk containing bits of Daim bar - now that's the dog's.

Agreed. There's a b&m next to the Odeon I go to and they dig out the more esoteric cadburys dairy milk bars. Thursday was Final Destination and Cadburys Daim. Both very good. Yesterday was The Phoenician Scheme and a Cadburys Biscoff. I've gotta say you wouldn't have the Biscoff as a regular but it was really great. The crispy cinnamon biscuit bits a fine contrast to Wes Anderson's pastel pallette.

Was The Phoenician Scheme any good?

It was Wes by numbers. If you like his film he's made it again. Final Destination was Wes by numbers too. Craven this time. Ok I know he didn't make any of them but it's got his fingerprints all over it. We both loved the Final Destination reboot.

On Phoenician Scheming, I really enjoyed the paradoxically gentle austere vibe, much more than the last one, it was more fun, the actors were better, but it didn't really add up to to anything so it was just to be enjoyed for how good it looked and how it made you feel in the moment.

Get the feeling that his style is suited better to short films these days. The Henry Sugar one he did recently was probs his best work for a long while.

Edit: yeah he's a much better director than writer. Should stick to making movies based on classic quirky books.

Tried the Biscoff one the other day. Couldn't taste much Biscoff but liked the bar anyway because of the crunchy texture.

Yes it is, and I second that choice. The Aeros, on the other hand, you can keep, esp.the mint one. Who wants a choc that tastes like toothpaste?

Kinder Buenos would be my go to but I don't eat chocolate anymore unless it's like a good dark chocolate to avoid the empty calories

Here in the US you come accross Kinder Buenos made in different countries, sometimes it’s Canada, sometimes Poland and I know a couple of places that sell “made in Italy” ones. Needless to say, the quality is completely different - only the latter ones are worth having.

Most American chocolate is awful - it’s really not chocolate at all, just fillers and lots of sugar - so in a pinch I go for Cadbury which is widely available here.

Yeah the chocolate in Australia is not as good - even the Cadbury’s. The theory is they put something in it to stop it melting so easily.

New Zealand chocolate is much nicer.

Holy shit how did I miss 4 pages of chocolate updates.

Quick thoughts: one chocolate I would bring back - Spira by Cadburys. That was beautiful.

Fuse was epic too.

If you need the ultimate big chocolate bar - this bad boy:

I had the M&S version too (obviously) but it doens't break off into nice squares so you have to just take big bites out of it which is a bit too feral for my liking (and makes it impossible to share.

Spira was fantastic. Just two twisted solid chocolate stalks, but somehow it was the perfect format for chocolate. I will never forget them, ever.

My favourite sweets of all were those Haribo peaches you used to be able to get on the continent. They seem to have stopped those too. I could eat pounds of those things.

It does make sense to unveil them together for both us and Leverkusen, I hope it happens.

They are best friends too, apparently - Frimpong used to give him car rides to the training groun when Wirtz was too young to drive. Probably was a factor in him choosing us too.
