Start of the season we saw more line breaking runs and intricate and fast passing at the back / midfield to create gaps ahead. At the moment we play it slowly from the back and hoof if into space ahead of Mo.
For me that is playing with much less philosophy.
He loves the club and being part of this whole setup. A lot of the lads are like that - we have something special here for most. Be part of this or go to a mid-table club and play a bit part there or maybe back to Scotland ? He'll stay.
He’s done it all and might just want to play football.
I think he’ll want to stay but there’s a strong argument to save on his wages if he’s only back up.
He looks like a vocal leader but we have loads and should prioritise progress over sentiment IMO. A back up LB should be about 16-20th in the ranks of squad earners.
After Trent leaves he’ll be the third highest paid, and arguably will be our third best LB once we sign Kerkez.
We'll presumably just sell Tsimikas instead?
He's said on several occasions this year he doesn't think he's done at this level yet and plans to fight off any competition.
I might disagree with his assessment but I do absolutely love the attitude. I'd appreciate a pissed off Robbo with a chip on his shoulder making Kerkez earn every start.
Maybe. But we kept Millie on for years and he was on £140k pw back then vs Robbo's £160k pw now.
And hasn't one of the criticisms this season been that we don't have enough vocal leaders?
I'd prefer we bring in a new LB and keep Robbo as backup.

We need vocal leaders to tell players like Robbo that making errors that lead to goals or big chances every week isn’t good enough
Adrian certainly played his part but you have not directly responded to the point I was trying to make.
In my opinion he would be No.1 for at least half the league. I also judge my Goal keeper on making saves, rather than whether they are dithering about on the ball when we are 3-1 down and he is actually very good at that.
We are blessed with having such a good keeper, we shouldn’t judge Kev on Alisson but across the league in general.
Whether he'd get in to half the teams is irrelevant though. Ultimately what matters is his performances for us, and for the most part he's solid, but has an error in him. With Ali tending to take a month or 2 injured every year, we need to know our 2nd choice can be relied upon at a moments notice.
Is he good enough to be first choice for a team pushing for the league? The CL? Adrian was great for us in the league that season, and then shat the bed royally in the CL.
If he was content I'd keep kelleher, as he's decent and seems a nice lad. But he wants to leave and there's money on the table.
But if Mamardashvilli doesn't want to join us next season to be a number 2, do we cash in on Kelleher - knowing we'll likely be out of luck with Ali for at least a few games next year - or convince him to stick around, perhaps with a pay raise?
He's definitely a saleable asset and probably isn't going to stick around to compete with the Georgian when Ali eventually leaves... But can we risk the drop off to Jaros, for example? Is Jaros ready to step up?
IMO he could be, from what admittedly little I've seen of him. I'd try and convince Kelleher to stay though.
From the little I've seen of Jaros (the Brighton game) I'd be fine with him being number 2 and us cashing in on Kelleher to get us a better striker
I know its a fucking joke, its like that VVD and Robbo mix up.
