Lucas, Gerrard and Adam are more than capable of putting their foot in when required. Lucas especially.

I think Bellamy has been brought in for his versatility. Yes he'll cover for downing, but he can also come off the bench for suarez or carroll for a bit of pace and direct play.

Agree. He'll play when and where required. He has throughout his career and i don't see any reason why that'll change now.

I think you need two good players for every position (which I think we have) and then reserves to pull up the slack beyond that.
