It's really nice to see everyone appreciate just how good Bobby was, though it's amusing how everyone just seems to pretend they always knew he was boss.

I may fire up my AI thingy again one of these days and do a historical analysis of SCM poster's opinions on Bobby. But for now, let's appreciate how fucking awesome he was, the never-good-enough flabby melt!

I think he’s overrated by most. He’s not in the top tier of the players to have played for us. He’s played an important part in our recent success but there’s so many better than him.

Tell it to Virgil, mate. He's on record as saying Bobby's the best player he's ever played with. Mane said the same in an interview once.

I agree. He's one of those players who everyone says is underrated so much he ends up being overrated. Great player, brilliant in our system, not absolute top level like Suarez or Torres.

Cough. I was advocating signing him a year before we did ! I was absolutely flabbergasted and over the moon when I saw we had.

Loved Bobby but yes overrated if he’s being mentioned in the same breath as Suarez, Torres, Fowler, Rush, King Kenny, Keegan, King Salah, Mane, Gerrard.

Vital cog in a brilliant wheel that won everything.

I wish there was, maybe there is, a compilation of all of his assists. They were more special.

Regardless, of how great he was as a player, he was clearly the best at celebrating goals with tons of diverse expressions of joy, instead of trying to trademark any particular one.

And, he had the absolute best smile of any player ever, with Mane not far behind.
