Gave it about 4 minutes, surprised how pissed off i was at Arsenal playing in blue first game of the season and put the birmingham v Brentford stream on cos i can't find a Wycombe stream.

2-0. Gabriel with a debut goal. Fulham couldn’t defend a straight corner into the 6 yard box.

3-0. Aubergine scores one just like the charity shield. Willian with a hat trick of assists.

Looks like I was wrong and @dantes was right - all 3 new midfielders start in the first game for Everton. Looking neat and tidy so far.

Watched the second half of the u-23's beat Everton 1-0 this morning,we were hanging on a bit towards the end,is there a thread for the academy talk? Now Everton first team v Spurs.:Lotta blue shite for one day! ha ha miss!

Bahahahahahahaha spurs with a hospital pass across the back line. Richarlison goes through round the keeper and skies it. Both teams are shit.

James looking sharp. Even with simple passes you could see the kind of precision only star players have.

Everton look a lot more robust and capable in the middle with Gomes, Doucoure and Allan, but they're still shite up top.

Coleman did really well to get his head on that.

Decent spell from spurs there, but Everton do look pretty solid & good on the quick counter too.

Winks, Hojbjerg and now substitute Ndombele have all been woeful in midfield.

No invention or urgency up top. Slow and ponderous.

Get ready for hopeful/obnoxious Everton fans. Has to be said, they have grounds for optimism. All new signings settled straight away, Allan filled the hole at DM, James wasn't phased by the English game in the slightest – in fact it seemed to slow down when then ball came to him. And even Pickford looked good.
