Going for a Song? Liverpool are still in the market for more reinforcements
Here's our wrap of all the Liverpool transfer stories from today's Daily Mirror and across the web...
Thursday's Liverpool stories from other newspapers and websites

Going for a Song

Liverpool are preparing a shock move for former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song.
With Lucas Leiva likely to join Napoli before the window closes the Reds are in the marker for another central midfield option.
And it appears they could have found it in the shape of the Cameroonian, who is surplus to requirements at Barcelona.
Rodgers is open to either a permanent or loan deal but he won't have a straight run at the 26-year-old.
The Express report that Manchester United are also keen should they fail in their high profile pursuit of Juventus' Arturo Vidal.
Did you know we have a dedicated Liverpool Facebook page?

Vidal is nailed on to United, so yes, it seems we do have a straight run at him. Lucas to Napoli and Song his replacement ? *high fives* Done !

The Metro and Caught Offside (among other normally useless sources) are now running with the story that this transfer is "hours away".

Both reports reference an article in Sport.

Before a striker? No I don't see it happening.

Why do I have to be a negative Nancy about everything?

Yed I'd have him, but at least one striker has to come in either way. And if we only get one, Borini has to stay.

I don't see why it's an issue of not signing anybody else until a striker comes in. Can't we be working on both at the same time and this transfer just happens to be happening quicker.

Why would he swap Barca's bench for ours?

Presumably if he's going to move it'll be to a club that can offer him more of a guaranteed spot in the starting eleven.

what is it with these strikers these days ? - why don't they want to join Liverpool ? - because we will create so many chances and maybe they are scared of not scoring the sitters we will create for them or what ? Strikers = Gutless Cunts.

Because he's been promised SG's slot by next season and a slow transition this ?
