Anyone thinks Robinson will be an even better player than Flanagan? Our fullback future looks good.
Yes. They both look excellent prospects but IMO Robinson has an extra touch of class about his play at times.

agree

Has Adam had a single successful Alonso pass this game?

Oh, and they just scored. SHite defending. Totally free in our box.

4-3 now

their left winger looks really quite very decent
He won't want to join us though. We've got to be realistic.

FT

4-3

Liverpool : Poulson, N'gog, coady, carrol
Guangdon: Chinese and non-chinese lads

he cut in quite a lot though, and his crossing left a lot to be desired

tricky though

cole looks sharp. again, if we fail to offload him I wont be too upset.
I agree, I am a tad surprised JC keeps getting tagged with the real deadwood and classed in the Konchesky and Poulsen bracket . Everyone knows or should know that circumstances just did not go his way last term and cut him a bit of slack - he should be judged when he gets the chance to prove what he can do and that is on that back of a full pre season.
He came into the team following a major injury , had little or no pre-season, gets sent off , comes back for a couple of games and then gets another serious injury, from which point on he is limited to playing catch-up and minor cameos in a failing team, and had few chances when we were playing better, it's hardly surprising he let his head drop.

that's exactly how I see it, vlad. we KNOW we're going to have trouble breaking down teams at home and we need good options from the bench to change the game and turn draws into wins, also he is ideal to replace suarez in case suarez gets injuried or suspended.

If he can recapture his best Chavski/England form maybe, but how likely does that look now? I was chuffed when we got him, I do think he has ability and I'd love him to prove it in a Liverpool shirt, but sometimes things just don't work out despite looking as though they ought to. Without disputing that his chances have been limited, I can't honestly see much likelihood of that changing.

Joe Cole isn't good enough to play in the middle for us, he's also not good enough on the wing to play there - and he's not good enough to play up front. He can stay and be at best 3rd shoice for the left side.

Agree with Gene.
Considering his wages age, do you really want to give him another shot?

second striker;
suarez gerrard cole

left winger;
downing (if he signs) maxi cole

right winger;
kuyt henderson cole

plus cole would be a good option on the bench. it would take is cole to come in and hit a scoring streak and stay in the team, stranger things have happened.

if we can't sell him then what are we going to do, hire a ninja to take him out. if we can't shift him we may as well use him.

I do, he has not had any sort of real shot yet.
I wish people would not be so fixated with Joe Coles wages. Everyone knows why he is on an inflated figure so why keep regurgitating it all the time?
Forget his wages , in Joe Cole there is a decent little player who has not had the chance to get out while he has been with us yet.
People round here are so fucking intolerant, and I though it was old twats like me that suffered from that.
I am not sure given our signings the chance will happen for JC, but I am keen to keep him and see if he gets the chance to step into the breech , we need strength in depth in the squad.

So if we can't loan/sell him we sit him in the stands?

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that we don't speak about Gerrard like that next season. He is too much of a gun to let that happen to him to be honest...

i just think we could get players with more potential in for a fraction of the wages, sorry for bringing in wages again but its impossible to avoid

He looked sharper today than any time I've seen him in a red shirt. Cole's good enough to be a back up LW with something to prove, but his wages don't really justify it.

So long as his wages aren't preventing us making moves for someone else then I'm not too fussed. But I suspect that isn't the case.

Don't want to make a habit of answering posts with questions but, are you really comparing Cole to Gerrard?
