After all the doom and gloom of late, a timely reminder of the great club we still are.

7 years ago today we won the European Cup.

Still the best night of my life!

Mine too.

I still get shivers down my spine thinking about that game.

7 years ago, I said at half-time that we would win. 🙂

What a great night. Dunno if it'll ever be trumped in my favourite ever Liverpool memories.

What a day. Unbelievable. Still love watching it. What date did we win UEFA Cup in 2001 with Ged?

Big up to you for having that much faith. I was depressed at half-time and almost in tears at the start of the second half when the fans at the stadium were singing You'll Never Walk Alone. I started singing as well, not because I believed we'd come back - needless to say I went mental when Alonso's goal went in. I was on my knees with a different sort of tears in my eyes when the dude saved Shevchenko's penalty.

It was a football experience that will probably not be matched, let alone surpassed for me.

I hoped for no decimation, but at half time I ran and got my lucky wristband as I had a belief we could... Might just need another push

Kudos to you fellas, but like Fabs I was just hoping for damage limitation after half-time.

It was at that point that I went upstairs and switched Old Faithful on to watch the second half. 😎

I never lost faith.

Nearly got into a couple of fights in the bar I was at, over the apathy around me.

I accepted the hugs and apologies with good grace.

What a great night.
While not believing we could turn it round I did say to a mate in the pub that a goal could put doubt in the Italians mind.
Fucking eh!

Innit. When Stevie scored and Tyldesley was giving it "Hello! Hello! Here we go!", I sat there thinking "Give over, will ya, you're just trying to stop people changing channels."

Never been more pleased to be wrong in my entire life.

I watched it in Greece, back when I was a student and studying part of my masters degree. I met my wife then too, a big year for me!

At half time a guy I knew who didn't want the Italians to win was like 'What the fuck, Ruairi?' I told him it wasn't over yet but he wasn't convinced.

There was an Italian guy living in the halls of residence close to me, the next day I cut out photos from the papers and stuck them on to his door. I think the entire building heard his shouts of 'Bastardo!'
