The race

For once I want to avoid the whole transfer circus. So I guess the plan is to log out and log on sometime in August, just before our last pre season game. Just so I can get a taste of what's to come.

Let me help you out.

There will be much frothing at the mouth at our transfer business, FSG & Hughes will be cunts, we should have cashed in on Trent, Virgil, Mo, Gerrard, Carragher, Dalglish, Toshask, St John… blah blah blah sooner, pre season has been shit since we didn’t smash everyone playing god-level football and the season is going to be a disaster where we’ll be unlucky not to be relegated.

Leave it a few weeks till September and the Quad will be on, Mo will be top of the goals and assists charts and Dreamie will be asking why we haven’t offered him an 83 year extension.

But its so fun,

- the emotional outbreaks
- reading your reasoning and @Frogfish (who stands by FSG decisions in the hope Linda will notie and hear of him)
- the player abuse
- the pure excitement of it all, I just cannot wait for the transfer window to open and wait for the Big Short ... or rather Big Letdown in transfer activity.
- this summer will be the mother of all let downs.

Oh lets not forget the activity hit rate will be sky high on this site, potential for new members, it will be like 6SCM summer sale, that is the most important thing, it will bring these forums to life !!!!

I think Slot deserves a lot of credit but you know who else deserves credit, its the designer of the Home Kit. The vertical yellow stripes have not let us down.
Please write to Adidas to stick with yellow stripes

A friend of mine in a Whatsapp group (who is no lover of Liverpool) said "If I was an Everton fan I'd be pissed off at Peter Reid for doing that sketch". I pointed out that if he was an Everton fan he'd always be pissed off about everything, because he'd be an Everton fan.
And Peter Reid is a red anyway!

Imagine this: Liverpool haven’t been “lucky” at all—they’ve been brilliant all season.

Let's pretend for a second that Liverpool dropped some points and are currently tied with Arsenal at the top of the PL with four games to go... the fan and media narrative would be COMPLETETY DIFFERNT, everyone would be raving about how nail-biting and competitive the title race AND how strong the league is. The only real change to that scenario and narrative is that Liverpool have been top-drawer week in, week out.

And hey, nobody moaned about the league being “weak” when City used to stroll to the title. Bottom line? Give the Reds the respect they’ve earned, I'm tired of bitter sad rival fans.

It's because Liverpool winning the title actually has meaning, thus rival fans are more inclined to scrap the bottom of the barrell to find things to use against you.

As far as the media is concerned, we now live in a world where everything is views and clicks....for that to happen stories and quotes need to be sensationalised, it'd be too easy for the pundits and journo's to say "Liverpool have deserved it, undoubtably the best team in the league", that doesn't do anything for them.

Yep - ditto Rushy, Owen, Fowler, McMoneyman, probably others besides who haven't yet occurred to me. There's a lot of it about.
