He just does NOT learn!

"My team won't make 4th this season either, so I needed to punch someone".

Heh. He's boss, it's proper Sunday league style that.

If he played for anyone else I'd hate him, but he's ours, so I'll be a hypocrite & enjoy it.

I clicked on that link thinking "Oh sh!t, WTF has he done now?" Having seen it I'm left wondering WTF the fuss is all about. It's barely a push, let alone a "punch". If he gets done for that, the defender better had as well.

He gives shit back but why give people an excuse to kick off?

Ultimately the only people who'll suffer are himself and his fans if he gets banned.

At last some common sense in the thread when JJ and Sunny arrived.

Windever Jnr? You need a windmilling sonny.

lol.. class..

Funny as fuck... Makes me love him all the more..

I had to feel for Celtic Against Juve.. in the Champions League. If any defenders deserved a smack in the mouth, they did...

Who gives a fuck if people kick off? I really don't see this as a major issue unless you fall for all the media generated hype. Really Fabio are you seriously THAT arsed ? Making an issue out of this is laughable

There isn't really any media generated hype.
They're reporting Fifa are going to look at it.

What was Luis going to achieve by attempting to punch someone in front of thousands of people and a number of TV cameras? It's stupid, and if the repeated nature of his stupidity doesn't concern fans (who seem to want to ignore it - and somehow think that's common sense) then I'm not sure what I can say.

He's no use on the sidelines because of bans and we already know its a risk with him, one that doesn't seem to abate

I don't mean on this single incident Ross I mean hype on Luis Suarez full stop. If he gets done by FIFA for it then big fucking deal, who's arsed ? It doesn't affect us so....

This is my concern. In its entirity. IF he could do this weekly and get away with it then i wouldn't give a fuck, BUT its going to be reported, he's giving the authorities the opportunity to give him a ban.

And yes, it is also a media issue. Do we not think that referees are influenced by the media? These mind games fergie pulls work because it highlights an issue to a referee. There was a reason that suarez started winning us pens and it was because the "suarez is a diver" force was temporarily distracted by Bale diving for fun. If suarez is highlighted inthe press again for being a dirty divey cheater then of course he's going to start getting less decisions again.

I'd rather our players not get in to the situations where they make themselves an easy target. Keep your nose clean and everything will be fine. Play dirty and don't expect favours.

THAT is my concern, and THAT is why its being highlighted .

Luis Suarez could give up football, donate his personal fortune to charity and devote his life to curing AIDS Fabio and people would still focus on his every step Fvabio. It's a fact of life with Luis Suarez now. You either accept that attention will always be there, go mad or become one of these tools who proclaim he should be sold because he's not worth the hassle. 30 goals and 13 assists in 42 games doesn't quite feel worth it all does it ?

I don't know about you Rosco, but I can imagine myself not liking a Chilean player hugging me with one hand and touching my private organs with his other...

Did i ever say we should sell? I want him to retire with us in 2040 when he's guided us to our 40th title.

Yes he's going to be hounded, but the houndings only come when something happens with him. Evra, diving, reminding everyone of evra, stamp, reminding everyon of evra, diving, punch.

There was a lull of 2 months when people started writing positives about him and how he should be the favourite for the player of the year gong. Hyperbale was scoring for fun, but was also diving for fun and being a general pussy so he got the attention.

During that time suarez won us 3 pens(?).

The media is like an infant. Show it a toy and it'll want to play with it, distract it with another and the kid will want the new toy and forget the old one.

If suarez keeps popping up with negatives like the jack in the box he is, he'll draw the attention of the media and the managers will leap on it like sharks and add fuel to the fire. (cliche overload)

Its possible to be a beast on the pitch but not a bitey, divey dick.

Its the will of a winner he has and I wouldn't change it. But when did pushing, stamping etc become the signs of a winner, and not just a dick?

I personally would love it

Did I ever say you did ?

I'm not the former, i don't think i'm the middle, so i must be the latter?

Unless i am in the mental camp of course

I've been in worse situations Jimmy, but bearing in mind that raising your hand is usually a red card offence - if you were in that situation would it be your first port of call?

A push would be a lot more sensible. Punching and swinging elbows are never thought we'll of in football.
