Nah Pesam. They're not all heroes for me. You need to earn hero status, you don't just get it because you signed a fat contract to play at LFC. Fuck that.

The thread though doesn't give a neutral option Doc, it's Hero OR Zero so my default answer is always hero unless it's some cunt like Collymore, Konchesky, McManaman etc.

I don't feel like he played enough to be counted as a hero. At his best he was a really good player, but it's difficult to class him as a hero because I don't seem to remember him playing all that much (despite having over 300 appearances) and he wasn't part of a great side in terms of anything won. So, neither, for me.

I'll caveat that though by saying that I think potentially, had it not been for the injuries, he could have been a great player, especially in the right system.

Disagree for once. Redknapp IMO had a wider range of skills in his locker - his injuries were what let him down. Beckham was a one- or two-trick pony who became supremely good at his party pieces.
