How to post a picture from computer

Stupid question, but how do I post a picture from my computer, not a picture from a website.

I drag and drop and the photo shows up, but never posts because it is to big. I have cropped and re sized and changed the file format to a gif, the size of the photo is down to 85kb.

Is there a maximum size and if so how to I get my picture under the size?

Don't think you can. Just upload it to Imageshack or Photobucket or a similar hosting site.

Dropbox also works. Save the picture into your public folder and then right click on it, select dropbox, and then "get public link".
Paste that link onto the site

Well I never knew that. That's brilliant. I use Dropbox a lot for sending large files at work, but I never really got how the public folder works.
