Yeah, I'm increasingly so minded. But why would kelleher want to have that battle?
I think it's all very harsh.
In any other era of football this wouldn't be a conversation. Comes up through the academy. Wins things for us, performs in big games.

Ummm . . . you must be referring to the younger and better looking Fabio.I mean… why not if some offers us significantly more than we paid for him - but I’m not sure that’s the best option.
I think Fabio’s right with the “cold version” - for me, while Ali is top notch, there’s a bigger risk in letting him, as the older player continue.
I can’t see Irish Kev signing a new contract unless he’s given the No 1 spot - so at least one of Ali or Irish Kev should be sold for top £££ in the summer.
Every player has that battle (or should). Every player knows its a production line and LFC should ideally have that in every position. He's not a Virgil or a Salah, best in the world in class (at some time). But why would kelleher want to have that battle?

And yet we may have already bought one. So maybe not that low.Yeah, it's a production line. Our academy produced a keeper that will go to a good team. He passed every test.
Yes, there are better keepers in the world. The chances of getting one better are low.

Alison stays as no1 until his performances in goal drop. He’s still clearly the best keeper in the world and as such better than Kelleher.
GK’s can play until 40 so I’d be sticking with Ali.
Kelleher will continue to get game time here and win trophies. If that’s not enough then let him go. We have 2 other very capable gk’s coming through. Selling Alison is nonsense.
Everytime Kelleher does concede my first reaction, ‘I think Ali saves that’ which is the main deciding factor.
Well not quite all speculation since he was GK of the tournament at the Euros with some superb performances, and everything coming out of Valencia is he's continuing to perform. He can't be held responsible just for being in a shite team.Zero evidence that Georgian is better. Especially when a large chunk of what we need from a keeper in Slot's tactics is one who is comfortable on the ball.
Valencia are trash, and in 18th in La Liga. He will be in a scenario where he is facing a lot of shots, and making lots of saves. Do we know he can keep high standards when making one or two saves a game. It is all speculation for the new guy. For Kelleher his performances are clear.
Which is also bollocks because we have no idea if he would have or not. Rose tinted glasses. Maybe he would maybe he wouldn't maybe he wouldn't have made some of the other saves Kelleher has made maybe he'd mess up doing his Cruyff turns again. Impossible to say. What we can say is the defence is looking much better than last season and Kelleher has only conceded 7 goals in 10 matches this season, 2 of those as a result of penalties (which he is great at saving).Alison stays as no1 until his performances in goal drop. That said Kelleher has been great so we're spoilt for choice. Bird in the hand perhaps. On the one hand I can see the club going Kelleher and Mamar but then they hold onto players so Ali and Mamar (because I don't think Kelleher will stay if he's competing with Ali again).
I think Ali would have been fine with staying if the other Brazilians were around. I think I remember reading that his family were close to Firmino and Fabinho. I also have a feeling that Taffarell doesn't want to hang around much longer either.
i think kelleher is off, ali stays but might start the season as number 2He’s off in the summer.
Will that be because he will be coming back from an injury?i think kelleher is off, ali stays but might start the season as number 2
Depends on if anyone would actually pay what we want for Ali, and if kelleher is actually happy to stay. Will that be because he will be coming back from an injury?
I think the stattos will look at Ali and think his value is high, wages high and availability low. Sell.
The club would also consider who would pay what we want for Kelleher because it’s entirely possible that it will be a main rival who can do it.Depends on if anyone would actually pay what we want for Ali, and if kelleher is actually happy to stay.
Ali is making all the sounds of seeing out his contract, kelleher the opposite
