I don't know how you all do it.

I'd hoped to have seen as many English historical sites as I could before I'm packed off; but there's SO.MUCH.TO.SEE.

We were coming back from Dover on the weekend deciding whether to stop by Dover Castle, Rochester Castle,Rochester Cathedral or Leeds Castle...I'd only even HEARD of Dover Castle because someone on here mentioned it.

In the end we just went home as we were so tired after walking around the cliffs.

(Also because I was still really rattled; peopleafraid of heights shouldnt traipse around a place like Dover)

Then I see Blighty on TV and I realise I havent even scratched the surface of things to see.

In a way I'm asking for it since I LOVE seeing these places of interest and historical sites and memorials, and the volume is just staggering.

Thankfully the missus likes them too (I think)

There's no way I can see everything; but has anyone gone on tours and stuff...and could you recommend some truly MUST MUST MUST see sights and places to visit in the MINIMUM amount of time?

Titsmarsh is talking about Coventry Cathedral and Bamburgh Castle, Dimbleby is talking about Carnaer'fon (or however the hell you spell it) Slaine and God knows what else.

I'd read English history and places of importance for years and I've realised that I know nothing.

You live in a country absolutely steeped in history and nature.
