yep always like barca better when I was a kid and always want them to turn over madrid. barca are pretty much my second team (a long way behind liverpool of course).

We've nothing to be jealous of. We have just finished 2nd in the league, showed championship form in 2009 and are going into the new season building on that....

We are just short on defensive cover, a decent wide man, a ball playing midfielder and a striker.

It is an unbelievable transfer window and it's hard to imagine it ever being topped. Even when you just take into account the Ronaldo and Kaka deals - how often is a club going to be able to sign two of the worlds best from top clubs in one summer? It's very rare.

They do have a massive squad now, which could present a few problems if they don't offload some players.

Higuain doesn't deserve to lose his place. I reckon Raul will see a lot more of the bench this year.

Don't worry, Lucas will nail him with a challenge early on, then knock it about making it look easy peasy all game, looking like Franz Beckenbauer. The Kop will finally be won over.

Many think that Alonso doesnt dictate play on here. I think he will be perfect for them keeping everything ticking over. Would love to draw them though.

As soon as Kaka scores on his first free kick, Ronaldo will start hating him. Remember this is a "HUGE" club which has gone through to the quarters in the CL ZERO times the last 6 seasons. They will kick out the coach upon their first loss of the season and they will have to offload a lot of players with huge losses... Its a disgrace of a fottie club!!

According to this morning's Times, they've just had an 18M bid for Alex turned down by Chelsea.
