*sigh*
Source?
Google it, but like anything it's rumours at this stage.
I guess the rumours stem from lack of game time he has got this season. I honestly think we don't have the money, we spent over £180m on 4 players with hardly anything back in sales.

Yes-co

Is he not a little similar to Barkley and Kovacic? I'd welcome interest in Kovacic if they're not going to follow up on that loan, he looks decent.

Great.

What happened to the 130m or something we got for the midget?

75m on vvd remember. Let's not forget the stadium expansion.
We've done really well spending what we spent, look at Spurs and Arsenal. Spurs have had a net spend of 0 for years now and will probably do so for another 10 years. Arsenal has an owner who will not spend money and has now saddled the club with a few hundred million debt by buying out the Russian.

I don't think they come much better than Isco to be honest, so if available we definitely should be interested.

Just Real Madrid surreptitiously triggering an auction for a player who isn't a galactico.

Isco is a wonderful player, but like James Rodrigues, Oscar or Ozil he suffers from being one of the best in the world in a position that is almost outdated in modern football – the classic #10 role. It's not easy to find a team who still play with 2 out-and-out strikers AND a #10 behind them; they are mostly in Italy nowadays and even there only a few.

I think Klopp has shown that he make good footballers play great football. Ox was never a driving midfielder... Not many clubs would ise Firmino as spearhead for their attack... Gini has settled in a new role... Milner have allways been versitile but not a typical left back. I think Klopp see that a good footballer can help him without locking the player nor the team in fixed roles. Even Lovren has played well at CD without being a natural CD.

Sorry, I'm not following the last phrase – how is Lovren not a natural CB?

In lack of a transfer/rumour thread, let me just add that if I had to chose between £70M Isco, whom I really like, or a £120M Frenkie de Jong from Ajax I would go with the latter.

Frenkie is oozing that exquisite quality and posses that special aura I believe/guess a player like Cruyf did too (before my time Cruyff but still from reports, articles and clips he was surely a rare sort).

De Jong floats around the pitch always in control, always aware of his next move, always the heartbeat of the team. He's a very, very talented player and I'm in total awe of his abilities and if you asked me to pick one player from Ajax right now and one player only I had to pick him even though my heart beats for Dolberg.. (Dolberg would be 2nd on my list when it comes to current players from the immense Ajax-team as of now, with de Ligt coming in a close 3rd).
