Job security - arne

Why? Didn't we win 7 games at the start of the season on the bounce?
And the same people who are now talking about transition werent saying a word about people to getting a hold of themselves when we were getting wins at the start of the season...
Im I neither camp... I want slot to succeed but I can take off my rose tinted glasses and look at us in a non biased way.
We deserved to beat villa but it was in no way some great preformance. We struggled for the first 30 minutes but for the last 10 we did play well and created a bit.. 2nd half we created nothing but positive is villa created nothing either..
Overall though, this game was us going to us in the 2nd half of last season which if I'm honest, it is a type of football that I find boring as fuck. You can't really complain about arsenal's style if you think that was great..
And also, you would think returning to the players who won us the title isn't sustainable as with the players who have left we are an injury or 2 away from shitting the bed again

You’re being a bit disingenuous here. When you’ve lost five out of six, it’s perfectly fair to call Slot out. @binomial might be an extreme case, and most of the others reacted out of frustration.

I initially blamed you, and to some extent, I still do. You’re basically a living, breathing, talking, walking hex. But if we set aside the superstitions and just look at the games themselves, there were some glaring mistakes Slot kept making and failing to fix.

The win against Villa alone isn’t redemption. He needs to put together six or seven wins on the bounce and close the gap with Arsenal before we can believe last season wasn’t a fluke. Winning back-to-back league titles was never my expectation, but a proper challenge is.
We want Slot to succeed, but he needs to show tactical acumen when things are going against him, this season there's been littl;e evidence of that
Congratulations, that's the biggest pile of shit so far. We need to win 6 or 7 games on the bounce before you consider that last season's title win wasn't a fluke? Wow. You think winning the Premier League by a country mile is some sort of a fluke? For only the 2nd time in 35 years?

Get a grip.

It was silly with the Ange thing, but with Slot Dreamy’s only showing loyalty which to me is the right thing to do considering what he’s achieved for us.
You clearly are not aware of the dark arts at play. One of his ex's he cheated on was likely a witch, and she turned him into a living Hex for the betrayal, otherwise, how do you explain correlation between his posts where he makes a bold claim and then we suffer a string of losses? Its happened so often, its hard to ignore

Amazing what a couple of wins do to shut up the haters for a bit 😂

Three from three would be outrageous but even a point would be a great result.

One single decent performance didn't change that much for me - the last month is nothing that can be brushed away easily (apart from some simpletons who see themselves as the enlightened superfans).

If it was a given that Klopp would return, I'd throw that fucker into the Mersey. And I'm sure Fede would assist me.

The one single decent performance was against Villa. Real Madrid was a good/great performance. That's 2 games now.

Acknowledge the streak!

Aha, I see irony is strong in you and the ability to call that performance ‘decent’ while dismissing the Villa game and the Arsenal game and Frankfurt game and Athletic game for that matter.

I’m no superfan, I’m just not a cunt living in a fantasy world where I’d throw our second most successful league manager in 35 years in the river because we aren’t sweeping everyone aside while integrating a host of new players.

I’m embarrassed for you.

Yeah I still think he's a nob. What's he done? Realised his methods aren't working and reverting back to what does. I'm glad of it but it'll take a while to prove he isn't bollocks.
Ha fuck me. The fact that he could do that kinda proves the point no?

His interview after Virgil was superb.

Yeah, you should know quite a few things about embarrassment.

You're basically the expert here.

Still licking Ange's hairy hole btw?

Klopp was spectacularly bad at actually winning titles then considering how perfect his title-winning formula apparently is.

I don't really think about the Villa game the same way as you do.

But yeah, if he turns it around, good on him.

I'm just not sure if he really manages to. And even if he does - he'll never be a person I could warm to.

I am learning a fair bit about it reading your posts in fairness.

No expert, and never claimed to be. Simply pointed out the obvious which has come to pass. Not my fault the majority lost their marbles.

Klopp was extremely good at getting more points than Slot got and winning fuck all because city were cheating. Any fool knows Klopp would have won the league last season.
Klopp wouldn’t have I don’t think. He had run out of steam and the players had lost motivation for his style imo.

It was the right time for a change.

Probably. Any time he had us in a tight title race we failed, but there was always a good excuse, too. So who knows.

He signed a lot of new players. Didn't seem to educate and coach them at the level expected/or it takes a while to gel - we will see. He also had his regulars underperform at the same time, while teams figured out ways to beat us.

He's brought back his favored full backs and know we look better. I have a lot of faith, but until we have a good run in the PL, beating those teams who outthought us last month, I'll be wondering. He's earned a lot of trust for me.

Nah you don't lose four prem games on the spin, then intentionally lose in the cup, then revert to Klopp's plan and improve everything, and then get to think you're good enough at this.

You think he should have played a stronger team in the cup? Didn't he do the same last year - put out the B team? Honestly, I prefer how he did it - and keep the team fresh for the current fixtures. Isn't he accused of playing people into the ground? If he doesn't rest them for the Carabao, when does he?

That's not the issue. He 'rested' players he still didn't pick after. How are they supposed to gain match fitness?
