Job security - arne

And if my auntie had bo11ocks she'd be my uncle. Slot does deserve credit for the title just as he deserves blame for the current horror show.

That said, while I don't think the club has to tie itself to Carra's "next three games" timetable, I obv.do agree that things can't go on as they are.

He's had credit.

The credit has now been used up.

He's gotten the credit for winning the title and because of that he's gotten to this situation where he should have been sacked weeks ago but became of credit in the bank the owners have held off doing what we all know should be done..
I wasn't happy with our football for the 2nd part of the season but held my tongue as we were winning the title but that feeling was there and that style has continued but has been added to with the long set of dire results..
I think the game that made me feel it's time was the man utd game but still said nothing, It was after the forest game that I decided no matter what Im done and voiced it on here..
Don't care if he went on a 10 game winning run now, want him gone.. Can't bare to listen to his bullshit excuses about unlucky deflections, dominating games bullshit that he spouts..
I wish mo had held his tongue because him coming out may well keep slot in a job longer now though the reason he might have done this interview is because he knows fsg won't sack Slot...
Personally I would love a new manager to come in now and see if he can get more out of mo and if not the sell him in the summer.
I will say though, dropping mo hasnt changed anything with the team.. Useless before mo was dropped and useless since... Common denominator... Slot

I had to add a tag. Makes my blood boil

How has he not been given the boot yet?

Seriously, what is it going to take….another 6 games of turgid shite, disharmony within the squad, ZERO solutions….lots of waffle after the fact….or do we need 10 more games, or 20? Where is the line that the club draws to say “nope this is unacceptable and we need change”

This horror show is only survivable for an established manager with a long record of success at the club. Someone like Pep last year or Klopp a few years before.

It is not survivable for a coach who has never played or coached outside Holland and won a title with another man’s squad while rival teams fell apart. We have not helped ourselves by pretending we are better run than other clubs and have to act a certain way. The truth has been obvious for a while now and things aren't improving.

Slot was always a major risk. Last season’s achievements masked that risk and many became numb to it but it was always there. The team then ran on habit rather than direction. Once that faded and the club made changes, his limits at this level became clear. The only question is how involved he was in those changes. At this stage it barely matters because there is too much wrong to ignore.

Everything here is spot on

This has run its course. Just matter of time before he's sacked. We look badly coached, unorganized and the players are just half arsed at times. We run less, loose nearly every 50/50 challenge and have next to no fight.

A squad filled with so much talent shouldnt look this bad on the pitch. Thanks for the league win, but its time to move on.

Are FSG listening? Slot has lost the dressing room.

He's lost the dressing room and the fanbase...

He could go on a 10 game winning streak and I still will want him gone.. I'm sick of him gaslighting us trying to make out we aren't ass bad as pundits say.. We the fans.. We watch every game and we see how shit we are.. We might not know the answers how to fix the problem despite the fact that some here think they do but it's really easy to see the problems and I think everyone with half a brain (which takes certain posters out of the equation) can see that there is no light at the end of the tunnel, not even a Spark.. I don't feel comfortable having a go at Slot, I really don't hate the guy or anything but this is my/our club and he isnt the answer...

Gerrard as an interim manager isn't a huge no for me as well..

Gerrard is definitely the answer*

*Only if the question is "which fucking dickhead who should never be employed by LFC ever again in any capacity punched a barman because he wouldn't put a Phil Collins CD on in a shitty wine bar in Southport?"

we all have bad days

Does anyone actually still want him here now? I knew it was bad, but without those late winners in the first 4 games of the season, we'd be joint 17th on 15 points. Maybe he can fluke our survival like he did the league last year.

If we get a good fee for him, I am not too bothered if he is sold, however, Slot has lost the dressing room, and he has shown he can't motivate players

I don't anymore, though I was wavering for a good while there. The problem is anyone else coming in will now have a shitshow to deal with. A leadership group all on the wane, only Szobo and Jones showing leadership outside that group, injury prone right backs, an overawed left back, centre backs not able to defend properly, midfielders who keep giving the ball away, wide attackers who can't beat defenders and can only cut inside and shoot, an unfit forward and a group of players who collectively do not fit any one tactical setup.

How much of that is due to Slot though?

A different idea, different voice might fix most of that instantly.

Without letting Slot off scot-free, I reckon Best Believe It might be on to something regarding Hughes and Edwards. I can well see that Slot, or any manager come to that, might have preferred a less massive summer buying spree all at one go - they're all good players, but fetching so many in at once (plus they're all big name, big money players who'll expect to go into the team) was always going to be risky.

I've said a bunch of times that I think Hughes/Edwards have made a mess of the summer BUT at the same time we were also being told how wonderful Slot is at managing change and the time Feyenoord replaced like 9 players and was able to produce a successful team. And how he was good at working with young players and bringing things through.

We've been sold on a lot of shit that just hasn't materialized. We can afford to play the long game with some of the signings and Edwards/Hughes to an extent (because there is a limit there as well) but the managerial situation is a more immediate problem that can't be left unchecked.

It’s been a shit show all round and heads deserve to roll or be put on sticks.
