Job security - arne

So Slot will probably stay so long as we're on track for the CL spaces, and Xabi or Naglesman to take over in the summer.

I will say it's just further proof this head coach and sporting director set up sounds sensible on paper, but to date, FSG have not made it work. They've tried it twice with two lesser experienced managers (Rodgers and Slot) and it's gone tits up. Nobody should be surprised if the next manager gets equally frustrated. If responsibility is shared then one of Edwards and Hughes need to stop lurking in the shadows and get in front of a camera.

Has anyone really made it work at the top end of a big league? Clubs have sporting directors of varying seniority and influence. Sometimes they have good relations with the manager, other times it's a power play.

But who really does well with a "head coach" outside of less-resourced teams who can't attract/keep a top manager?

No examples in England. What title-chasing club in a top five league actually succeeds with this model?

We did well when we paired the nerds with a world class manager.

Haven't all the clubs in all the other top leagues been doing the sporting director + head coach thing for 3 decades at least?

They have, and we have a footballing man with experience in the role overseeing Slot.
But there is clearly not something right in the relationship between Slot and the club. Will be interesting to see when it comes out. Not turning up for an acadamy game set up especially for him is probably just the top of the iceberg I'm guessing.

Ok I know a lot of you will say what I'm saying is bollocks but I'm only saying what I've heard. It's not just that the club is unhappy, slot is unhappy with the way things are going on in the background. There will be no reconciliation. Both sides are currently negotiating the exit strategy. Might be at the end of the season, might be tomorrow, but Slot will not be coaching us next season by mutual consent.
Might as well be now then. Fuck prolonging it.

Money!

Why's Nicky Butt in this one?

Is that real? Has to be AI, right?

Surely he's not just come out and say that he's been ill-prepared for almost every match this season and / or been out-thought by opposition managers?

The actual fuck?

There's no way that shit isn't AI, although I wouldn't put it past him being a bigger clown than I initially thought.

After all putting all the focus on the opposition and speaking of them in high regards is all this useless cunt seems to do, he even goes out his way to defend opposition players when they try push his injured players off the pitch.

He needs to stop giving press conferences. Forever.

Just shut up and his approval rating would go up instantly
