To start talking shit about the results/trophies of your predecessor who is a legend at the club is so misguided. You see the true character of people most when they're under pressure. I think he either knows he is done or the pressure of uncertainty is getting to him, this last few press conferences are a different vibe, remembering part grievances with those in the press, advocating for himself clumsily, relitigating old questions, bemoaning being misunderstood.

I actually find it all gross. Others should have to twist in the wind if you are going to watch someone else do this.

One thing remains the same though, is the subtlety of his poor motivation. I came out of that press conference thinking, "yep, he's got it, that opposition werent that great and a very makeshift back line are going to have issues against Newcastle."
