Goody, another purple patch striker

As long as they're completely out of sync with each other, we're laughing!

If we buy Defoe which in turn will help Spurs fund a bid for Remy then i'll give up. Fuck this shit

I'm not banging the drum for us to buy Defoe but I'm far from convinced Remy would be any better.

Ive not seen alot of him but why not? He's younger, 6 foot, quick, got good feet and scores goals. Getting more prolific with age and starting to score goals at international level too. Could probably play as a lone striker or with a partner. He'd stand a better chance than most of being a success over here.

Llorente has NOT been contacted by LFC. No intention to leave At Bilbao this season. He would cost now 36m euros, but cheaper in the summer

Not saying he's a bad player, but his agent has tried pretty hard to tout him around over here already and got nowhere. That rings a warning bell for me.

Shut up Balague, being a liverpool fan is miserable enough at the moment without you nay saying my dreams.

Well, there's just a hint at the end there that something might be possible next summer.

if there is a chance to sell on carroll and buy llorente as a replacement we should jump at the chance.

Our target man experiment hasn't worked out. If we are going to throw 36m euros on a player can we not look to sign someone with a bit more to their game than Llorente? Learn lessons from the past n all that.

I've supported Carroll for a long time on here, but I just can't any more. The impression I get is that he never really wanted the move in the first place and hasn't been able to get that out of his system. Llorente on the other hand is a player I've long admired and one who I think would be well suited to the Prem.

I get the point about a target man but I don't think it should prevent us from signing Llorente. Signing Carroll was never an indication that we were going to change our whole style, or indeed that we needed to. It was an attempt, sensible enough in principle IMO, to give us another string to our bow.

The problem is not necessarily with the fact that Carroll is a target man, if that is what he is, its that he doesn't seem able or motivated to be anything at all. Maybe if we got a better version of Carroll that would work very well. Who knows?

I am still hoping he will come good personally but that hope is getting more and more remote and difficult as time goes on.

Folks - I'm telling y'all, Joe Allen is where it's at. I never rate or advocate possible signings on here, but I want this kid. He can play.

I have no problems with Defoe, actually I think he would suit our style and would add a dimension in the box with his rather direct style which we don't have today.
