Dont like him and never have, sue me. Great going forward but defensively clueless. We will win nothing under him.
I love that we attack but honours only come to us when we have managers that can setup a defence on which the entire teams foundations are based upon. Its such a shame.
It's quite possible we are actually worse.
Did not want to say it but as you have suggested it....it actually is worse. It has not been this bad for a long time... in fact we have reached rock bottom.
When he joined I had one major concern with him, that he had effectively been found out tactically in Germany and wasn't capable of changing the way his team's played. 2 years in and despite the very obvious flaws in our team when he joined I dont think hes any closer to fixing them.
Defensively I cant tell if it's that he doesn't know how to fix it or he doesn't care. When Rodgers had the same problem plenty of people suggested that he needed to appoint a specialist defensive coach to counter his obvious blind spot and only his own vanity/arrogance prevented him from doing so. Well for me Klopp is at that point, we are a shambles defensively. If he cannot see that fixing the defence is beyond him then I don't think he will last beyond next season.

How long does a damn good manager need to coach his team how to defend from set pieces? He doesn't need billions for that.
He's improved our general play and attack immeasurably, with lots of work still to do at the back.
I don't know which perfect manager you lot have in mind but I find it pretty narrow minded to be focusing purely on the negatives and ignoring how he's made us one of the most feared teams in the league. We've only been outplayed once this season and that was against the best team in the league and with 10 men. I want to see what happens once Klopp has his main targets in VVD, Keita, and a Can replacement.

I definitely don't want him gone. But until he wins big ears or the treble, Houllier and Rafa will be comfortably ahead of him.
Even the second iteration of King Kenny won us the cup and Rodgers gave us the best title challenge in 25 years along with some consistently breathtaking football for months.

He's signed 4 defensive players and 3 of them can't shift the shite that was already there. The other is Matip who makes Rio Ferdinand look like a chess grandmaster when it comes to concentration skills.
I'd kind of expect a coach who is lauded as much as he is to be able to improve any player/set-up, he's failed in that respect. Big time.

My belief in Klopp has gone from a 9.5 to a 6 in a pretty short space of time.
His dealing with the defense borders on negligence. It's just so simple - invest in better centre backs and a Makelele type DM and we could seriously challenge for the league title. The best managers set solid foundations - Klopp's just ignored this.
Within a year Benitez had us putting in colossal defensive performances, like keeping clean sheets at Juventus and over two legs against Chelsea with the same defense he inherited. Within two years he'd made them into the best defense in the league. Klopp's had two years now and we're arguably worse defensively than when he arrived. Goals win you football matches, defenses win you trophies.

I'm not so downbeat. I feel our style of play will bring us trophies under Klopp providing he starts actually signing decent defenders. It's pissed me off that he keeps playing an attacking game that our defence and midfield simply can't cope with and manage from a defensive viewpoint. Once players have escaped the press we are an absolute shambles, especially in one on one situations. I think it's very possible that signing Salah has made us even more exposed following a turnover.
Klopp has to readdress the balance of this side until better defenders are signed. It's obviously not working.

Not sure, he's been off the boil for years now and if it's true that FSG aren't willing to spend the cash he'd end up kicking off again.
