I know its Caughtoffside, but apperantly Big Sam wants both to West Ham an will bid 7,5 mill for them.

IF that happens I'll take back every bad word I've said about him....

Re: Cole and Koncheskyi

If we get rid for nothing we will have done well, for 7.5M we will have been involved in embarrassing phone taps on the buyer.

Re: Cole and Koncheskyi

JOE COLE is determined to stay at Liverpool, believing that life at Anfield following a miserable first season will be child’s play.

The England midfielder has confided to friends that one of the problems last season was a lack of sleep for himself and wife Carly following the birth of their baby Ruby.

But thanks to a few tips from a sleep guru the Coles are enjoying less frenetic nights with Joe confident of proving himself at the highest level again.

JOE COLE will be handed the chance to revive his career in the Bundesliga with Hamburg.

The German club’s new sporting director Frank Arnesen is keen to give the Liverpool outcast an escape route from Anfield.

QPR, West Ham, Tottenham and Fulham have all enquired
about bringing Cole back to London but cannot get close to his £90,000-a-week Liverpool wages.

A loan deal to Cole’s first club West Ham was looking the most likely, until Hamburg’s interest emerged.

But the Germans are willing to stump up a transfer fee, or pay the vast majority of his wages in a loan deal.

Arnesen knows Cole from their time at Chelsea and has already brought youngsters Michael Mancienne, Gokhan Tore, Jacopo Sala and on-loan Jeffrey Bruma to Hamburg this summer.

He now wants to add more experience to the squad and has been pushing the case for a move for Cole.

It is unclear whether Cole, 29, would fancy a move abroad but he may decide that a completely fresh challenge is what is needed after a miserable year at Anfield.

Once regarded as England’s finest young talent, Cole’s career has been on the wane since he suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in January 2009.

Re: Cole and Koncheskyi

Today's paper saying Konchesky could be off to leicster city in a £1.5 m deal 🙂

Re: Cole and Koncheskyi

They're gonna pay us to take him? Fucking hell. Bonus.

I cant believe the money we wasted on these cunts (Poulsen & Konchesky).

Re: Cole and Koncheskyi

I wouldn't be adverse to keeping Cole, I just don't see it though in light of his wages and his poor first season.

He blamed lack of sleep for that though mate.......

Babies, Snes, it's all the same.

Re: Cole and Koncheskyi

Ha! They hired some sort of sleeping guru for babies though so alls well. Tomuchmoney.com

Re: Cole and Koncheskyi

wouldn't mind holding onto cole either, if suarez gets injuried who is most like him terms of ability? maxi and cole.

Re: Cole and Koncheskyi

If we can cope with his reported wages then he might be handy to keep hold of as he would at least give us another attacking option.

Konchesky is not worth keeping at all. Left back may be a position where we don't have a huge amount of quality but we do have players who can play there, and Konchesky certainly doesn't add quality!

The question with Cole is whether the amount we are paying him makes it worth keeping him and whether we can get anything for him now, because I doubt we will get many cash offers for him as the years go on

Re: Cole and Koncheskyi

Let's put this another way.

We're currently paying half a million pounds a month to have Cole & Konchesky on our books.

That's why we should get shut of both.

true, but there was no fee for cole so that offsets his high wages.

Not really because the wage is the ongoing cost that the current owners/accountants would have to consider.

I'm not saying it was a bad decision at the time Neil, but right now when we're trying to bring in new players with a seemingly huge transfer budget but are trying to reduce the wage budget, we need rid, Cole's wages as what is likely to be a bit part player could give us 2, or maybe 1.5 first teamers salaries.

No brainer for me.

it's a no brainer but I do worry about the impact of a suarez injury, I guess you could push gerrard further up the pitch or use maxi behind the striker.

But he provides nothing for those wages whether they were high or low.

Disaster.
