Mark, at least 11 of those players you listed, 99% of LFC would only have had scant opportunities to see them play before they joined us and therefore could not be 100% sure they would be shit for us (Cheyrou, Dossena, Meijer, Diomede etc). I'm talking about players we saw regularly enough that we KNEW 100% that they would be shit.

I agree Crouch wasn't totally shit but he wasn't what we needed and he wouldn't have been signed by Chelsea, United, Arsenal etc and he was never going to be a success at Anfield.
