18 years old, plays for Monaco, born in France with family roots in Cameroon. Plays as a left-sided CF in a partnership with Falcao or Germain or on the left wing.

Stats for this season:
10 League starts (plus 11 sub appearances), 10 league goals and 7 assists
Champions League: 2 starts and 2 goals
Cups: 5 starts, 5 goals

This guy would be my top attacking target for the summer (it's not Dolberg, sorry @Kay Age El ). He has all the traits of a "new Aubameyang" – great speed, trickery, finishing, and plenty of swag and personality. He also seems versatile and an intelligent passer (which is confirmed by the excellent assist numbers). Every big club will want him after his performances in the Champions League with Monaco, but I think it's far from hopeless for us – after all Klopp did sign Aubumeyang and Reus, so he knows when to go all in for a top attacking talent. This guy checks every box and I just hope we can make it happen.

The question is how much will Monaco want AND will money have an impact on his decision (i.e. we won't pay the wages Barca/Real/City/Manure can).

I don't think we have any chance ... he's fantastic though.

Yeah I think no chance but I would be in favor of going all in too.

Maybe offer Origi on loan / swap to sweeten the deal.

There's no links to us going for him, and as it's Monaco, i think they'll ask silly money for him. Pass!

Why not pay "silly money"? United did with Martial; surely we will have to pay something similar for someone if we want to compete. If he comes good, that money will doubled if we ever sell him.

"No newspaper links" at this point means nothing. If I know anything about Klopp's taste for strikers, Mbappe is his type – not Icardi, or Dolberg, or Lacazette, or Belotti etc. All of whom will cost "silly money" too.

How is that working out for United ?
They're below us in the league and Martial was linked with loan moves in January having seemingly lost his way.

The stat you quoted make Mbappe a goal a game striker then - just like Origi was. Whats the reality ?

Why wouldn't Dolberg be Klopp's type?

He is far more Lewandowski than Mbappe is for starters.

People are staring themselves blind on the current tactical setup imo. The reason we are not playing with a striker is because of what we got. Or haven't got actually, as Origi/Sturridge are not good enough to lead the line henve the false 9 .

And for me we should get Mpappe AND Dolberg, That's how you build if you aim for the top.

Dolberg seems like more of a Nistelrooy type from what little I've seen. Lewandowski did not start with high scoring numbers; his number one quality was incredible ability to hold up the ball and a lot of selfless work up front (similar to what Firmino is doing now).

Mbappe is one of the biggest talents out there and can play anywhere in attack really. They've quoted a fee of around 80 mill euros I think.
We've got no chance of signing him, although I'd love to sign him. Reminds me of Henry.

I think Dolberg is obviously a much more realistic target.

Regarding Martial. He's obviously a very talented player and 24 goals in 77 games so far is very good. I'd love to have him in our team.
Utd overpaid and the fee was inflated though as I suspect it will be for most of Monaco's players.

I want us to sign Fabinho.

Dolberg's workrate is not his main attribute and that is a part of a game he would have to improve under Klopp. He is not lazy at all but seems to economize his runs and actions very well.

I don't see the Van Nistelrooy comparison at all. For starters Dolberg is deceptively fast. Much more mobile and athletic too. A Zlatan with pace. Imagine that.

Anyways.. Mbap, he looks phenomenal and also very calm about it all. In general that Monaco team looks extremely talented mind.

This is what we want!!

Mane..........Coutinho..........Mmmpab
....................Dolberg.........................

Not that I'm Van Horseface's biggest fan, but he was deceptively fast, mobile and athletic too ... and this was after his knee surgeries ...

Well, as far as I remember RVN wasn't all that slow back in Holland – it's just that most people remember him by his later years in United and Madrid. What I remember about him from the start was his calmness and elegant decisiveness in finishing, which is something I think Dolberg has (and yes, Zlatan too). So very broadly I place him in that category of strikers who live for the decisive episode. Actually Klopp won the league with the striker from that category (Lucas Barrios), but then he dropped him for much more hard-working Lewandowski, even though initially the Pole produced a lot fewer goals.

Yep, it's ridiculous how many clean 1 on 1's he had even in his later years. Deceptively fast is a good way to describe him, actually – because most of the time he looked slow as fuck, except when sprinting clear to receive the pass.

Because 80m euro on one player will leave us short in other areas where we do need urgent cover/replacement. I think spend no more than £45m on one player is a good target.

Dolberg is fast. RVN was perhaps not slow but I wouldn't describe him as fast either.

Sorry mate, I don't think he's particularly fast. Don't forget he's playing in a slower league, where defenders in particular are less athletic than in England (or France and Spain for that matter). Even so, after watching 10 minutes of Kasper's highlights I could not find a single episode where he beat a defender cleanly for pace, and there were actually a couple of instances where defenders caught up with him while he was lining up a shot. He's nowhere near as fast as young Torres, let alone someone like Sane or Aubumeyang.

Two things, I don't think this guy is the central striker we need (although we could do with another goal scoring wide player, and he's perfect for that), and he seems rather one footed to me, literally all his dribbling and shooting was from his right foot, some decent passes on his left though.

80M is definitely way too much. But if they agree to sell for something comparable to Martial, I would be tempted to (spend somebody else's money to) buy.

We need Grock and his clock.

France has some amazing young talent coming through.
If we can't afford Mbappe, we should be looking at some other players that'll be huge stars.

Corentin Tolisso. 22. Midfielder. Already a regular starter for Lyon but a huge talent and a leader.

Lucas Tousart. 19. Midfielder. Already becoming a regular for Lyon this season. Great midfielder. Keeps the team ticking.

Allan St. Maximin. 20. Winger. Plays for Monaco but is on loan at Bastia. Very promising winger. Pretty sure I read somewhere that he is someone who has completed the most dribbles this year in Europe.

Jean-Kévin Augustin. 19. Striker. Plays for PSG. Quick and a great finisher. He's scored twelve goals in thirteen games for France under 19's and has now scored four in six for France under 21's. Only played 23 games for PSG but will be the next big striker for France with Mbappe.

He is not Aubemayang fast (few are) but he is Torres-level, and even more explosive and stronger build than he were at 20.

OK, you obviously watched Dolberg a lot more than me. So if he's indeed as fast as young Torres, can you find me any goals by Dolberg where he sprinted into the space behind the defensive line, beating them with sheer pace? Just one goal like that, because so far I haven't seen any.

If you want to compare with Torres, just see the first 4-5 goals here:

Torres was fucking fast. I've admittedly seen nothing of Dolberg but a few clips, but there's no way he's as fast as Torres.

He might as fast as the shadow of Torres thats been playing for the last 5+ years

Dolberg is fast. Period.

Maybe a tad slower than young Torres, maybe the same. Explosive on the first few yards too.

Good head, quick thinking, fast feet.

Several examples here:
