Barring any biggies that might need their own thread !

With little under 36 hours before the transfer window slams shut, here's the latest on which deals your club's trying to push through before the 5pm deadline tomorrow.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will launch a last ditch attempt to bring Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh to the Emirates. (Daily Mirror)

Wenger is also considering a move to bring former Gunners captain Patrick Vieira back to the club (Daily Mirror)

Hull City are demanding Sunderland striker Frazier Campbell as part of any swap deal that would see Tigers defender Michael Turner joining the Black Cats. (Daily Mirror)

West Ham are locked in talks with Valencia striker Nikola Zigic over a move to Upton Park. The striker is also attracting interest from Wolves. (The Shit)

Harry Redknapp is trying to sign Portsmouth keeper David James but faces competition from Sunderland and Stoke for the goalkeeper's services. (Daily Mirror)

Staying with Spurs, Redknapp is believed to have earmarked Manchester City winger Martin Petrov as the ideal replacement for the injured Luka Modric - after the winger was ruled out for at least six weeks. However, Stoke are also keen on bringing the Bulgarian to the Britannia Stadium. (Daily Star)

However, in other reports, Redknapp is set to raid former club Portsmouth for Croatian international Niko Kranjcar. (Daily Mail)

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is keen on West Ham pair Matthew Upson and James Collins, but only has the funds for one of the Hammers duo. (Daily Mail)

One Villa defender who looks to be on his way out of the club is left-back Nicky Shorey, who is a target for Portsmouth boss Paul Hart - following the sale of Sylvain Distin. (The Shit)

John Heitinga's proposed move to Everton is in danger of collapsing because of the Atletico Madrid defender's wage demands. (Daily Mirror)

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce has turned down a bid from Greek side Olympiacos for winger Morten Gamst Pedersen. (The Shit)

Wolves are looking to bring in Rapid Vienna striker Stefan Maierhofer on loan before the transfer deadline. (Daily Mirror)

Similarly, Gary Megson is hoping to finalise a deal to bring Nantes forward Ivan Klasnic to Bolton, on a loan before deadline day. (The Shit)

Any others ?

The Toffees have offered £5 million for the experienced Dutch international, who only joined Atletico from Ajax last summer for a fee in the region of 10 million euros.

Everton boss Moyes is keen to bolster his defensive options following Joleon Lescott's switch to Manchester City.

The 25-year-old could now follow Portsmouth centre-half Sylvain Distin into the club, although Moyes admits there is still work to be done before the deal is finalised.

He said: "We have not as yet agreed personal terms.

"I hope we will be able to do that soon, but we have not as yet concluded that part of the move."

west ham have rejected an offer from fiorentina for upson, hull have now given sunderand permission to talk to turner

Middlesbrough striker Afonso Alves is to head to Doha for a medical as Qatari side Al-Sadd attempt to push through a deal for the Brazilian.

Hull City are on the verge of signing Manchester City striker Benjani. The 31-year-old Zimbabwe international has fallen well down the pecking order at City following the arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez and Roque Santa Cruz this summer.

Hull boss Phil Brown is also interested in signing Sunderland centre-back Nyron Nosworthy as part of Michael Turner’s proposed move to the Stadium of Light.

Portsmouth manager Paul Hart is set to make his fifth signing in four days by bringing in Aston Villa defender Nicky Shorey.
The England left-back has been told he will not be first choice at Villa Park following the £7m capture of Stephen Warnock from Blackburn.

Hart has money to spend following Sulaiman Al Fahim’s takeover and Manchester City defender Tal Ben Haim is also on his list of targets.

Andriy Shevchenko has returned to Dynamo Kiev on a two-year contract after an unsuccessful three-year spell with Chelsea.
The move sees the former European player of the year return to the club where he started his career - and where he left 10 years ago to join AC Milan.

Tottenham, Sunderland and Stoke are locked in a three-way battle to sign Portsmouth goalkeeper David James.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is favourite to land the £2million-rated England No.1, who has become disillusioned at Pompey.

Sunderland have also contacted the Pompey hierarchy about prising James, 39, away from the south coast while Stoke manager Tony Pulis is ready to table a late beat-the-deadline bid.

James fears putting his place in England’s World Cup squad in jeopardy if he stays at Fratton Park after seeing Pompey’s 2008 FA cup winning squad dismantled over the summer.

If Portsmouth sell James, it would be appear they've already given up in being in the Prem next year.

Thought he was about 30 at this stage.

Until that prick from skysports with his half dozen mobile phones comes on pretends agents are calling him - like they havent anything better to do with the Window just about to shut.

Fiorentina are negotiating with West Ham and could be set for a swap deal that would see Portuguese defender Manuel Da Costa move to the Premier League in exchange for striker Savio

Portsmouth have made a bid to sign Egyptian star Amr Zaki,

Bloody Hell - I wouldn't mind him here at all !

Pompey are in for Amr Zaki at 3 million.

Perhaps we should go in for him after dumping Voronin for a similar fee?

He offers a different option upfront with his mad power and presence.

Ha, like with Michael Johnson to Newcastle last season... "it's done. 100%".

Except it wasn't you cock.

and when they want to try and beat BBC or whoever to a story but have nothing to back it up out come the old "sky sources say..."

That's an amazing price for Zaki

He was unplayable at the start of last season

Worth a punt for anyone.

Are the people wanting to sign Zaki blind or just daft? We have a player of his capability in Babel, in fact when he isn't sulking then I would say he offers more.

Which is why it's a punt

A £3M you're not going to lose much.

Anyway it won't happen so it's pointless.

Portsmouth have had a bid rejected for Amr Zaki, according to the player's agent.

Portsmouth are in talks to sign Manchester City defender Tal Ben-Haim.
