Re: Club Refinance Thread

Just to put a nail onto any optimism that might still be alive... due diligence can or might also be for the refinancing!!!!

Should not be in this case. First as the due dilligence was reporter by purslow (?). And second, the security would not be the cl.ub, hence no point in checking the clubs books

Re: Club Refinance Thread

It would be strange if he didn´t refinance or have a back up plan. He´s a businessman and I doubt he would just let his invested money go without earning some money.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

Not willingly maybe, but he's got to persuade somebody to refinance him first and that, while not impossible, was always unlikely as he's such a bad risk.

Here's hoping.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

Broughton was pretty insistent on the fact that all involved were committed to selling the club. And all signs seemed to suggest the board would vote against the refinancing, maybe they simply didn't have any offers on the table?

Well, as strange as it sounds, that is exactly what happened to Texas Rangers. The club was sold on a public auction held by some court and Hicks ended up with nothing.

The board can't vote against the principle of Hicks reaching an agreement with somebody else to refinance, which is nothing to do with them. What they can vote against is the idea of Hicks putting the club and its assets up as security for the relevant loan. They've already done so once and (fingers crossed) I can't see that changing. Hicks would therefore have to find other security instead, and I don't know what else he's got which would fit the bill after his sports teams in the US were taken away from him. That's the main reason why I think there's still hope that this rumour may come to nothing.

No matter who reported due diligence it does not matter and what do we know about the purpose of the dd even though the security might not be on the club's assets, the lender might want to have a look at all the lender's borrower's assets and LFC is one of them?

Re: Club Refinance Thread

to put aside confusion, if hick's manages to find someone to refinance without putting the club forward for security there is fuck all the board can do about.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

This is soul destroying.

Everything that people have said to this point suggested that a sale *had* to happen and that the board both could and would block Hicks refinancing.

Truth us none of us know the logistics of the deal, and of what is and isn't possible.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

I hope to fuck this info is wrong. The more I contemplate it the more I realise this will all but spell the end for LFC as we know it.

I was upset last night, physically felt sick & emotionally tried to detach myself. I had to try to explain to Bex why I was like that & she didn't get it. I feel like someones ripping apart a huge part of my life & I can't do anything about it.

Of course things are more important to me, of course it pales into insignificance next to my son & wife to be, but I can control where they are in my life & our decisions together, I can't control what happens with MY club, that's my heartbeat o the city, thats my years of invested emotion. I want it back.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

I'm in for project mayhem ! I've joined SOS myself. I'm one of their fiercest critics as well. I won't be getting involved in any militant activities or anything but I'm hoping there's some activities I can support. To be honest though, I'm sick and tired of doing nothing while our club goes down the shitter and doing something has to be better than doing nothing.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

I have been boycotting all club merchandises for about 2months now, that includes EST/Program Subscription/Shirts ect, Also not been to a game during that time and wont be going again till both yanks are completely gone. I have the alternative kit (its actually decent) and have been a member of SOS for sometime now.

Cheers folks,

And yea first one, I'm only 23 due to finish uni this year, time to grow up I think 🙂

Re: Club Refinance Thread

I'm not buying any merchandise until the Yanks fuck off. I do fundamentally struggle with not going the game and supporting the team and club though. That's not to say I wouldn't be willing to do it if meant rid of those two scheisters (sp?).

Re: Club Refinance Thread

Soul destroying is exactly how it feels...

Quite often when things aint going to well you can take great solace and enjoyment out of football but at the moment its doing exactly the opposite and its ruining my mood most saturdays...

Blackpool at home.

And blaming whoever for whatever and whenever OK but... I fucking despair of the liars who own us right now, it truly is disgraceful what is happening and IMO they are the root cause the cancer at our hearts( other disagree, i dont care).

I really really hate football at the moment and i wont forgive them for that. I hope they go away very very soon and for forever before permanent damage is done to our club or i will find myself hoping that really really bad things happen to them in their lifes, dark, sad things.

I don't really understand this board objection malarkey, it doesn't make sense to me, surely it doens't alter Hicks position at all as what is to stop him from offering the club as security for the loan after he has regained control of it and dispensed with the objectionable board? His position is ultimately the same isn't it... can he get a bank to loan him the money against the clubs assets... albeit with a slight delay while he gets the carving knives out and warms up the private jet for Jnr.

Maybe thats why we are currently 19th.... put the frighteners on the banks maybe!....

bad new guys, on another site this was posted by a very respected poster (not known for bullshit)

I believe there is an emergency board meeting convening today at Anfield.
Hicks has secured refinancing

we're fucked...

I use to go to great lengths to get tickets for some games, at the time the hassle was well worth it.

We should all just sing and show our support from outside the ground they could still here and we wouldn't be giving our hard earned doe to those yanks.

23 is old for the area I live in lol 😛 My partner is 3 years older than me, Ideally I would have liked to have waited till I had finished uni and found a job so I was able to support from the get go, Should be ok tho.

hicks wont be satisfied until we are in the championship with a half empty stadium, that stadium of course being anfield as hicks doesn't have the means to start the new stadium.
this is liverpool's darkest hour.
