For those who watched the game, how could we improve this "B-team" for the upcoming Arsenal clash in the Carabao Cup? With 3 days between the league game and the cup, surely both managers will field B-teams mid-week – but result will still be important. For the record this was Arsenal's team in the 2:0 win over Leicester in the CC 3rd round:



Looks pretty strong, to be honest. I think at a minimum we'll have to upgrade in defense and DM to match them.

Agreed, and given we'd only have one game after the LC game before the international break I don't see a problem in adding a few first teamers back in. I think Grujic & Elliot come out, Fabs and Jota go in. Hopefully Gomez & VVD in CB.

I'm not feeling it with Grujic. He seemed quite slow and ponderous to me but maybe I wasn't giving the game enough attention.

The coaching staff clearly like Neco but it feels to me like they've thrust him into the limelight a little too early by making him the primary backup to TAA. We obviously hope he does well but he doesn't look quite ready to me.

He feels very predictable to me and so higher quality defenders are more easily getting control of him. Hopefully he continues to get minutes as the more exposure he gets to this the more he'll evolve his game.

Jones looks like the type that will train 30-40 minutes after everyone's gone home, then when he is at home watches his games and looks what he has done wrong and what he could do better at

I think sporadic involvement hasn't helped, but there's a lot there to still be excited by. I still think he's comfortably going to make it for us. There was a bass in the second half threaded through 2 defenders at full pace, which origi contrived to back heel it when trying to take it in his stride.

I think it's easier to look better when in the centre of the pitch, as opposed to the wing. Youre on the ball more and pulling the strings more

If we played as we usually do, with 3 workhorses in midfield, a lot of the creativity would have fallen to elliot and taki. As we played with shaq and Jones, we had so much creativity in the centre
