Lucas will definitely start unless we make a move for a DM, which looks increasingly unlikely.
I think Dalglish seems to rate him quite highly, although I suspect he'll be used less at home this season.

Im not 100% he will be played a week after returning. Especially as its a game at home.

They shouldn't remain 'untouchables' but they both had very impressive parts to their seasons. For goals scored and assists, Dirk is top of the tree for us last season by a margin. Now you may say that reflects badly on the rest, but I'd say it reflects that he is a top player.

Attitude, application, commitment and most importantly consistent impact.

Well yes two good managers have, and Dalglish with very few other options has, but let's see what happens next season.
I never tire of saying this but I feel I need to say it again. I think Dirk is a fantastic chap, and would not want to see him go, but I really do believe he is very limited, he make up for those shortcomings for significant periods by sheer application and hard work, but sadly that is not enough - if we are serious about progression.
