You could say Coutinho and Sturridge were so so before they joined. Not seen anything of this lad but if anyone can work with him and lift him to an exceptional player then Brendan can.
I think the plan is to have one full back who is strong in defense and one strong going forward.
If this lad can bring the attacking verve to the left back spot that Glen Johnson does when he is one hundred percent on his game to the right, then I can see John Flanagan playing in the defensively minded right back slot quite a bit next season

We are going to have to buy at least one decent CB to mop up if we have Moreno and Johnson at full back. Gerrard doesn't do much defending so we're going to need someone to do it. I'm all for attacking fullbacks, but who the fuck is meant to be stopping the opposition scoring?
I've just heard that Luis Suarez had really poor tackling stats last season.
That's not like you, Modo. At least wait for him to become a Liverpool player before you start hating him.
Could've done better in the assists column if he hadn't scored the 3 goals he got but passed them to an open team mate instead.

Rodriguez is a beast. Bundesliga is arguably weaker, but he's blown everyone away in those stats.

Wow. I've refrained from making any comment whatsoever on Moreno because I have literally never seen him play. However Enrique is way ahead of him in virtually every important stat on that comparison. Worrying.
I thought he was an attacking fullback that had issues defending. If he's got zero assists and he can't defend, that a bit worrying :s

He scored three goals though, which probably suggests he does get forward somewhat. There's only so much we can read into stats though. Luke Shaw, for example, has actually 0 goals and 1 assist (that's a surprise to me!) while Johnson has 2 assists this season. Yet, common opinion seems that Shaw is an excellent attacking LB while Johnson is rather useless as an attacking player these days (the latter is certainly a view I share; have no idea about Shaw).
If you ask me, I'd rather the full back's stats show more goals than assists, because the latter can be a bit of a dodgy stat.

Our english quota is the last thing we need to worry about. I just want a quality player regardless of his nationality. My problem with getting moreno is that everytime ive seen him play he was shit. Im hoping that i just saw him on his few bad days otherwise we're in trouble.
I love the way Brendan Rodgers has set about improving our defensive capabilities by exclusively signing attack minded players! It's going to be another high scoring roller coaster ride for us. Bring it on...
