Liverpool bid £16mil for Alberto Moreno

When we have Texeira, sign fucking Alberto for 7m. When we have Flano, sign fukcing Bertrand for 6m... that is what we are doing now a days

Bertrand is just shit...END OF. The moreno deal will get done it seems. Sevilla are just trying to squeeze every penny out of us and hoping other clubs come in.

Espn have confirmed no bid has been made yet

I wonder how this back line would get on with the current style of football we play:

....................Migs
...........Lovren...Sakho
Johnson......Gerrard........Moreno

Obviously the wing backs playing a little further forward. Johnson and Moreno look primarily like they're more comfortable going forward not defending, and they're likely to be asked to do that. Lovren looks a very good CB, but would him/Sakho/Gerrard fix the problems we've had this season where we've been weak at the back?

I'd probably prefer to see Flanno take Johnson's position based on this seasons form, and Flanno is a better defender, but doesn't as much going forward as Johnson (when he's in the mood).

Adding Lovren would help defensively, but I'm not sure if we're going to be much better off. We struggled when the opposition ran down the middle at Gerrard and the CB's just as much as when they came down the sides.

You don't need two attacking FBs, swap Johnson for Flanno in that set-up.

Is Ross the only person on the internet who spends the transfer window trying to 'dull' it up?

Give over you boring prick you. 😉

According to this, Johnson is better than him in pretty much every area based on last season 😱

And we want to give em 16million quid?! That's a lot of money for what he might turn out like.

ha so apparently spurs are trying to hijack this deal by offering 14m and soldado on loan for a year . that's mental but as it is them it is probably true.

and ESPN are the oracle of what?

Nothing.

Their journalist read the Sevilla presidents comments about our interest not being real yet and translated that into no bid has been made.

A bit like how Barrett read what Marca said about a bid and reported that as if he'd done some work to confirm the accuracy of it.

Everything in between those two bits is speculative bullshit at best.

We're interested but a deal isn't done

Its reported Spurs have made a £14m plus Soldado on loan Vs our £16m-20m straight bid. So why is their bid competitive?

Haha. Good one.

That said, there were other Chav fans who weren't happy to see him leave. I'm also reminded of a post someone put on here after we signed Degen, saying that the German fans could hardly believe their luck that they'd palmed him off on to us.

Jury's out on this signing methinks.

Jury's out on every signing, all the time, everywhere.

That the very point.

Nobody calls it right on here or anywhere with any consistency.

It really is, just as Ross close relationship with both Barrett and the Sevilla president.

Did you not read the presidents comments?

The one person with actual knowledge of what's going on speaks up and you ignore it?

And coincidentally he rubbishes all the reports of the deal being done as per the depths of twitter.

I've no idea if any deal is agreed or close to being agreed but surely we can't trust the word of their president? Surely he is going to say whatever suits his agenda best. He is going to act in a manner that protects his interests.

His words don't really mean anything. Didn't our board say Torres wasn't for sale and then he was sold within days?

Exactly, he wants the other interested clubs to make a bid and increase the transfer fee.

He has said LFC are interested but I dont know how real their interest is.

If a deal is done, as confirmed by Hanserns sources, there is no interest to protect. No other bid matters if we've done the deal.

The president is clearly saying the highest bidder gets him, which totally contradicts the bullshit brigade who've told us the deal done.

Ross, it's silly season. No one 'really' takes what people say on twitter as gospel. I doubt Hansern and co do either. You do this every transfer window and kills the fun out of it. Someone posts a twitter link, you try and discredit it depending on who posts it.

Its pretty much the only reason he shows up on the site recently, he's not going to stop, it's pretty sad really.

Which is why the Twitter posts will continue aswell.

Nobody is taking anything as gospel but its what the transfer window is all about imho. A bit of fun and some rumours from journos etc.
The Transfer Grinch should lighten up a bit.
