Liverpool Tops United ... again.

Liverpool were above Real Madrid as Adidas's biggest brand until at least two years ago... But I guess they may have sold a load of Ronaldo and Kaka gear since then.

Look: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/jun/18/javier-mascherano-liverpool-barcelona

Last paragraph: Arbeloa said: "In the last few years the Premier League has been much better than the Spanish league, but now that may even out thanks to factors that could give the Premier League more problems than in previous years, like the fall of the pound and the raise in taxes. They will make a lot of players move to Spain. Mind you, Adidas told me that the Liverpool shirt is their best seller, more so even than Madrid, so that shows that the Premier League has reached every corner of the world."

The top selling footy top in the world last year was Liverpool, Torres, 9. So you know, different figures next year perhaps?

Yeh Suarez next year

I think we're going to have to concede that Suarez, bitey little cheat that he is, won't have the same mercharisma as the ladyboy.

Given what Judas did AND the murmerings from Reina, I'd never buy a shirt for my lad with a current players name on again. A number 7 and that's it. At a push, I'd get Dalglish on it.

No need. Look. I just fixed one, took me seconds

And just following links and stuff. Do we thank H&G for the most lucrative sponsorship gig on the planet or what?

Ha, good point Krump, in that not everything H&G did was completely shit, . People will of course point to Ian Ayre as the man behind that, but they did appoint him, so have to take the credit too.

regards

No wonder the Hooded Claw wanted to buy us at that price. Can you imagine that we get similar TV revenue to the Mancs, sell more shirts than them, have the same sponsorship dough... and yet he got us for a third the value of their debt.

I agree with the no name just number shout! But at least we know that Daglish is liverpool for ever, so come next season his name will be on the back of my shirt!

What's more interesting was the fact that these revenues were produced during a period where many fans were boycotting anything that may have lined the pockets of H&G.....
