So much for the summit meeting after the Swansea game, were still defending like cunts. At times they are walking through us whilst we fumble and stumble on the edge of their box for what seems like ages.
That wasn't a dig at TAA btw, at his age he'll have a few of those 'learning experiences' at this level. Fuck knows Carra had a helluva lot at full back turning him in his early career.

Every time we attack there are 9 players in straight lines. Every time they attack, 4 players scattered all over the place.
How the fuck didn't we clear that ball before he ran on to it?!

I don't see that, he's barely seen the ball, & just then he had two defenders in front of him & then three before he could either pass or shoot. Not losing possession would have been a miracle.

Yep. We've got TAA playing so high he's almost a winger, so Matip is pushing up too, & as soon as we lose it there they only need play one pass & Redmond is into space goal side.
The first couple months are feeling more and more like a distant memory as a more familair Liverpool emerges to take hold.
This seems to be a growing trend in recent weeks (though perhaps just down to playing a lot cup games) - sit very very deep and then just hit us on the break. It's cynical but it works.
We don't look sharp or good enough at the moment and Southampton are annoyingly good in tight spaces so our press is failing to force them into errors.
Just waiting for the inevitable sucker punch.

He shouldn't have taken them on imo. Circulate the ball instead of heroicly trying to nutmeg a wall of defenders.

He didn't even look for anyone though , just did his Milan Baros impression of dribbling until someone took the ball off him. We all keep waiting for the Daniel Sturridge of his first season and a half with us to turn up but it looks like he's long gone.
