Stoke's keeper Jack Butland picked up an injury playing for England. He is arguably the best keeper in the Premier League, and had he been fit to play against us yesterday, it could have been a different story altogether.

I'm somewhere between the two of you on Butland. Overall I make him a very good keeper but he still has the occasional blooper in him. Some have suggested he might have challenged Hart for the no.1 slot this summer but I can't see it, certainly not under a manager as conservative as Hodgson.
 
I don't think , on the evidence of this season, there's a better shot stopper in the prem than Butland.

Was my keeper too until he got injured.
Schmeichel Jr. is doing a good job replacing him. ;-)
 
De Gea is better than Butland in every department.
Butland is getting there though.
