Manchester United have emailed supporters to apologise for the 'entirely unintended' offence caused by a Nazi Swastika-style graphic on a weekly bulletin to fans alongside the headline, New Order.
David Sternberg, United's recently-appointed Director of Media, tweeted a complete and unreserved apology for the publication of the logo on Saturday after being contacted by supporters on Twitter.
The Swastika-style image, made up of the letters M, U, F and C, prompted outrage among supporters, with the New Order reference also proving hugely embarrassing due to its use by Adolf Hitler during the 1940s.
