Kill or be killed!

Thats the message to River Plate players from their fans ahead of the crucial second leg in the qualifying to stay in Argentinas top division. They lost the first leg 2-0 and need a 2 goal win to stay up (They will stay up with any result given them a 2 goal win or more). They are in poor form and havent recorded a win in 19 games or so, but they will have nearly 100.000 supporters helping them tonight. Should be a match worth watching for those who have access!!

I've heard that the River Plate fans have been getting to the oppo's players. Even at 2-0 down loads of people are apparently backing River to stay up.

It wouldn't surprise me if they got some help from the officials too.

They apparantly was very unlucky with the officisals in the first match.

They have not been down in their 110 year History. But even selling players like Claudio Caniggia, Matías Almeyda, Marcelo Salas, Ariel Ortega, Hérnan Crespo, Pablo Aimar, Javier Saviola, Lucho González, Javier Mascherano and Gonzalo Higuaín have not helped from going in deep red accounts.

1:1 after 70 minutes.
River have just missed a penalty and look extemely nervous. Will take something special to keep them up.

Unbelivable.... Its like us or Chelsea going down!

No it's not.

It's like us or the Scum, or Arsenal, going down.

Police used watercanons towards the crowd to stop them from invading the pitch..... From the pictures I saw I think I have seen happier people at funerals than this gang... It is expected a huge riot tonight..

I bet the Boca fans aren't going to rub it in at all, oh no !

Blood shed tonight, on the streets of Bueno Aires.

i shouldn't laugh but that woman shit herself when that pole or whatever it was hit her

she went from ;D to :'( in a second

Lamela, yeah. I wonder if this will do anything in terms of his price.

I wonder if we're looking at any S.American up 'n' comers.

Reminds me of the relegation of Brazilian club Vasco da Gama a couple of yrs ago. Ex champions and 1st relegation since its founding hundreds of yrs ago. While the actions should not be condone, one can imagine the pain the true fans are suffering.

(Ironically, just read that that relegation ended Vasco's 110-year top flight status - the same no. as River Plate's, with this relegation. 😱)
