See he's been moaning to the press about living in a hotel and being lonely, and how he can't be arsed getting a flat coz he can't cook, and how he can't go out coz he gets mobbed. I reckon it all looks like he's getting his excuses in now. Imagine Klopp saying his bird would only live in London and he doesn't feel at home in the city etc. Is he trying to alienate himself from the fans? insert joke about no manure fans being from manchester anyways

I don't know what I want out of this really. I think he'd rather he stayed there for a bit because the whole thing is hilarious and they're terribly shit. But I will get some short term joy as it all collapses.

I suspect this little admission isn't an accident. Knowing Mourinho, he's done this on purpose to drag the attention away from his team that's in shit form, just got smashed 4-0, pogba being a flop, and the zlatan and rooney issues. I bet he's not arsed at all about this manchester thing and it's all a ploy to take the newspaper headlines away from his team and players.

But he actually is living in a hotel and getting the train to london and back all the time while that little Brian Peppers looking cunt trains the team.

Imagine being paid 10 million quid a year and doing that. It's fucking nuts.

Definitely getting his excuses in. If he turns it around, we'll never hear this chat from him again. If he doesn't then you can bet this will be one of the main reasons he gives.

I think he's losing it a bit, whether he's lost his touch or just lost interest I don't know. He's carried on with exactly what failed at Chelsea last year with all the criticising of players in public and the dodgy form. Long may it continue.

He is fucked at that team. The success at Chelasea was down to both his reputation and having expensive quality players that unbalanced the league in their favour. Now it is different with coaches that beleive in high pressing and attacking in numbers and teams that heve enough talent and conviction to match what he has. It is different now. That team at united does not have conviction because Jose style of talk is not taken on well by modern players.

Much of his success was down to his bond with his players. He had the tactical nous, but it was his ability to get his high-profile squad to believe in him, love him and to play and execute his system that was most noticeable about his Chelsea team.

He seems to have lost the swagger and confidence that made people run through walls for him, and with that he's lost his biggest quality as a manager. I wouldn't be surprised if the United dressing room were wondering what all the fuss about. He looks downtrodden, submissive and miserable since he returned to Chelsea and there's been no lift in his mood since landing his much coveted United job. Long may it continue.

Is correct. In Jose's 'good old days' it was all about protecting players and deflecting media criticism away from them. In the last year though Jose has been the harshest critic of many of the players he's had to manage.

I'm not sure he really wants to be in football anymore, he's finished his business with Chelsea and he looks like he's not arsed anymore. I guess the money is tough to turn down though.

I love it that even his egomania is spun as selflessness by his few remaining mates in the media. 'Oh, he's only talking about himself to deflect attention away from his embattled team'. No: he's talking about himself BECAUSE HE LOVES TALKING ABOUT HIMSELF!!!

Mourinho is full of excuses. His football is stale and he got found out. May it long continue. Just hope that the Scummers hang onto him. Love that they're suffering the pain. Almost as bad as Moyes and LVG. How satisfying 😉

Him complaining of Conte's antics was nothing but hypocritical to deflect attention away from the drubbing. Hope Citeh put the boot in up his arse!

Shame they wont sell to us. Swapping Lucas with him would make our midfield options and squad depth very good.

That's ingenious. We can approach them with that offer. They will refuse. Then we can say oh my god look at this, our offer was so badly misworded by Mr. McFuckwit that we now appear to have a binding legal obligation to fulfil it. So we have no choice but to give you Lucas. We'll drop him off in the morning.

Jose Mourinho: Man Utd boss says life alone in hotel is a 'bit of a disaster'

Manchester United have lost three of the first nine league games under Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho says living alone in Manchester has become a "bit of a disaster" and is beginning to tire of photographers camped outside his hotel.
Mourinho, 53, has been living in the city's Lowry Hotel since being appointed United manager in the summer.
Yet the Portuguese claims he is loath to venture out because of the persistent hordes of photographers.
"I just want to cross the bridge and go to a restaurant. I can't, so it's really bad," Mourinho told Sky Sports.

United have had an indifferent start since Mourinho took charge.
They are seventh in the Premier League table, six points behind leaders Manchester City, and were beaten 4-0 by Mourinho's former club Chelsea on Sunday.
Mourinho - reportedly earning more than £10m a year - is searching for an apartment but hinted that he is missing his family, who live in London.
"For me it's a bit of a disaster because I want sometimes to walk a little bit and I can't," he added before Wednesday's EFL fourth round tie with Man City at Old Trafford.
"The reality is that my daughter will be 20 next week, my son will be 17 in a couple of months. They are very stable.
"University in London. Football in London. Friends. So they are in an age where they can't chase me like they did before. So for the first time the family lives in a different way."

I'm not sure how this happens really. He knew ages ago that he'd gotten the Man Utd job - if you didn't have time yourself, wouldn't you pay someone else to find you a place suitable to live in, especially when you are not short of a bob or two?

He's purposefully not put down any roots in Manchester, I reckon.

Was it Owen that decided to commute there by Helicopter? Mourinho should consider it. He has that sort of accent to say 'get to the choppa'

Agree with most of that but to be fair Mourinho's Family were already settled in London prior to him going to United. Whereas Klopp's Family were in Germany.

There's definitely something not right with the guy at the min though. He's looked miserable as sin even when they've won a few games. Early days and things can change so quickly in football but it does seem a case of getting the excuses in early doors for if/when it goes tits up.

Tonight should be interesting. League Cup or not there's no way another City win at Old Trafford will go down well with the natives.

Van Gaal turned out to be past his sell-by date but I didn't dare hope the same would apply to his replacement, whoever that turned out to be. :vamp:
