First half of the Russian Premier League season is over and the best player of the season by most accounts is... Andriy Voronin of Dinamo Moscow. He is the league leader in assists and second in points (goals + assists), an undisputed leader and now captain of his new team and the biggest star of the Russian Premier League so far this season.

I say sign him up.

No, this time authorities actually did acknowledge it was racist and vowed to find and punish the perpetrator and basically said all the right things. Unfortunately this is not how they treat similar incidents when it concerns players of lesser stature and worldwide popularity than Roberto Carlos. They simply could not fake temporary blindness in this case (as they usually do) because if they did, it would become an enormous international scandal and even they knew it.
