I think the lad deserves a huge amount of credit for his form. Since he's come back into the team, he's been outstanding. I don't think he did alot wrong before he was dropped for Karius, but the addition of better competition seems to have tested his resolve and he's come back a better player for it.
He's been much more decisive, commanding and his distribution has improved 100%. I think part of this seems to stem from him being able to just put his foot through the ball more when the situation calls for it, instead of desperately trying to play his way out of trouble with his back four. Against United he was allowed to go long alot more, and relieved the pressure on us as a team.
His shot stopping has always been his best asset, give or take the occasional softly conceded goal, but against United he was quick off his line, which he wasn't always doing previously, now he's playing the sweeper role we never thought he had in him.
Hopefully he keeps this form up.
