In a weird way, that interview might have given Slot a few weeks lifeline. We cannot have a situation where players give an interview and managers lose their jobs. No matter how big of a legend that player. One of the reasons we were able to attract managers above our station at our depths- Klopp, Rafa is because they know we back the manager.
Promising young managers will think twice if Slot loses his job immediately after that interview.

Slot needs to start winning games and while I think he’s been very unlucky with a lot of things out of his control he’s ultimately responsible for getting the team winning so if he can’t do that on a regular basis then I think he will be in trouble.
