Mo Salah 2025/26 Season

""I wouldn't say he is easy to manage, but he is also not difficult to manage. You [only] have problems with Mo Salah if he is not playing or you take him off." Jurgen Klopp

A lot of the positivity expressed about Mo's humble beginnings and later as a positive role model have been eroded as he's shown himself to be narcissistic and entitled.

Of course this can be reversed by simply doing the right thing in private at the club. In my opinion he needs to make clear he accepts he is part of the squad and is picked entirely on merit and is ready to play as directed for the benefit of the team.

There does not need to be any public announcements from him or the club save direct questions to the coach during pressers.

Nah, if we move on then he deserves a good send off. Don't agree with this narrative to dump and run after 10yrs with any player, this is LFC and he ain't killed anyone. We have great relationships with ex players even ones like Torres who left under a massive cloud but reconciled. It isn't so bad we can't let the man leave with a proper send off.

Unless it’s Michael Owen

Im fine with him getting a good send off but it's a very secondary concern that is stylistic essentially.

I'm talking about how we should protect our interests.

Can we please just sell him and move on?

There's nothing sadder than an old queen.

It's so fucking boring. All these dumb fucks in the media "Liverpool need Salah back to his best" bla bla bla.

That's not going to fucking happen you quacking morons. He's shit now, and fucking lazy, and a petulant wanker too. There's only one remotely rational course of action left.

Mate, I'm not trying to be a dick because despite our disagreements here/elsewhere, I think you're a solid oak ... but you rip Carra's for his short comings as a person and then you ignore them for Stevie?
Fair question and not ignoring them but he doesn't often put the boot in with any of the past players without a bit of consideration? he's taken his time to come out with a response and not like Carra who's done about 2 long interviews on multiple channels before Gerrard already given his view. For a fact, he was better captain than Carra too.
Do I think Carra is a worser human being than Stevie G? can't quiet bother getting into that discussion. Some of the comments on here about those ready to burn a player for 1 1/2 stupid interviews in 10yrs versus some of the defending and while eulogizing certain other Striker gets in terms of excusing constant bad behavior in the past. We aren't totally impartial and hope you won't mind me saying looking at your previous posts, you aren't either 🙂

I actually heard Stevie's comments and I feel as 'connected' to them as I was to Henry's (Theirry, not the owner).
I'm going to strongly assume Salah was advised terribly here - as he's a business man at the end of the day and though I think he values "Salah" over Liverpool (which is fine, Ronaldo is the same thing etc), I don't think he'd want to fucking piss off the fans that way.
Let's see what happens at Brighton - I'd still like him to be a part of the squad that wins #7 and finishes top 4 before moving on in a more dignified, deserving manners.

Stevie G clearly hasn’t a clue saying Mo Salah is our best goalscorer and we need back in the team.

What an idiot.

What we need to do medium and long term is build a team that doesn't include salah.

Short term Salah either needs to be in a purple patch or get out of the way. Instead he's not. He's not even a good premier league forward at the moment.

I genuinely don't think anyone was bullshitting him about what his role would be this year. I just think we fucked up, predictably so, in our incomings. During this summer many people were wondering, well, these players are good, but how do you fit them all into a team with Salah.

Now we know you don't, you can't, and the destabilization of the team attempting to fix that unsolvable problem, while he was given all the time in the world to find form, has lead to the team completely breaking down. The more safety first approach that we are now sensibly taking to try to climb out of the shit is even less likely to have his involvement.

That's not some machievalian manipulation, it's just some difficult decisions not going right, and Salah failing to find any form. This is the worst he's ever been for us, and he's too old. Any time we spend trying to figure out how he can work for us is wasted, even in the short term, because he's off for afcon. If he wanted to figure out how he could work for us, that'd be neat, but I don't think it would change much. The fact that he can't face his own decline makes our future actions so easy, now did we provoke his reaction intentionally because we want to get rid? I doubt very much that slot did, the risk he's be taking under the immense pressure he's under would be insane. Edwards/Hughes? It's definitely a possible read, it'd be neat if they did, it would suggest they might actually be capable of intelligent ruthless decisions.

Well luckily we can apply the Curtis Jones affect and one good game with a goal can put right back to the unstoppable category.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. Last league goal was 6 weeks ago. 0,04 xG in his 45 mins against Sunderland.

At this point just an average performance would be a step up for him.

i hope this whole saga ends soon. i like mo and respect what he had achieved at club. But these things should discuss inside within management or manager. while coming out and throwing the statements doesnt change anything and its not what liverpool club is.
the situation right now is very different we dont know how long slot continue , so if mo had issue with slot means he should take decision accordingly,
the best we do is sell mo in jan if this fiasco continues.
but we respect u mo for what u achieved at club
we are liverpool fans.

Personally I'd re-sign rush, Kenny, Barnes and Hansen. "Form is temporary" and all that
